Nathaniel Clyne - Officially Signed

I wouldn't get too excited, Palace have got 53 pages on him: http://www.cpfc.org/forums/showthread.php?t=232581&page=53

2 interesting comments in there on page 53

One says he turned down a top 4 club preferring to join us (and play presumably)

The second says he turned down 2 more lucrative offers to join us (heavens knows why, other than the same as above)

Edit - beaten to it..... again

Palace mate told me he's signed. I guess the announcement will be made later. Good signing. Right back sorted. Up front sorted. Just the other positions to sort out now! Buttner and Fox would be a top left back duo too, and with both Stephens and Shaw coming through, it seems we'll not need to sign anyone in those positions for donkey's years, providing the Buttner deal actually goes ahead and nobody pinches Shaw.

Yes, providing.

Wasn't it the same with Chris Baird and Fitz Hall those years ago? :s

Baird was unfortunate. I still maintain that had we not got relegated, he's have been with us his whole career.

#CPFC's Nathaniel Clyne is expected to complete his move to #SaintsFC within the next 24 hours, I understand. Deal has not yet been signed.

He has probs been in contact with Sibley so this perhaps accurate.

It wouldn't surprise me if the deal was announced tomorrow.

The media team will be pre-occupied covering tonight's friendly, writing match reports, editing pictures for the match gallery etc.

Would make sense for it to be officially confirmed in the morning.

So who's he signed for? The big tease.

Also 'full most', haha.

Not all of the media team have gone to France. And I think it's fair to say the cat is out of the bag now anyway.

Simon Williams the website/program writer and Richard Ensten the camera operator are still in England.

The ITK'ers on there:

He turned down a top 4 club to join them

And more money from two others..

Really?

Hes young, keen and wants to kick on I assume. Hes not going to get regular playing time at a top floor club. Look at Fabio, hes made several PL, CL and cup appearences over the past few seasons. Yet hes now gone off on loan to QPR.

Tom Coull is the camera operator. He's gone to France with the rest of them.

"Audio Visual Assistant at Southampton FC"

He was the cameraman for the under 21 matches and even appeared in front of the camera for the Sholing game.

Whatever his job title, he works for the media department and is still in England atm so could help in the unveiling of Clyne if needed.
