‎-10 points start of next season, 10 players, no stadium, 40m in debt, no cva, still in admin. Threatened with expulsion from league 1 before the start of the new season. What have saints got to worry about - a little bit of rain LOL

They will also be required to pay all football creditors in full - which they can't do. I think this is it folks. By-bye nice knowing ya :-)

Yep. Might as well ask them to find Shergar, Lord Lucan, Iraqi WMDs and the lost city of Atlantis.

True, but the Football League ruling makes provision for agreeing compromise deals with the players. Ok, so the players might not agree to compromise deals but they will be under severe pressure to do so.

Current players aside, does anyone know the amount of the football debt and the deadline for payment?

pendragon - "Helio, you honestly think the FL have been listening to critcism of BC?" ---

Either that or they came to the same conclusions themselves, doesn't make any difference - Chainrai has been derailed.

I suppose we could expected that reactions would focus on the 10 points, but that's not the essence of the thing. What has been decided is:

(1) Chainrai can't take his whole secured debt with him into the new company. So his bid, which insists on taking it forward, has in effect been turned down by the FL. Without that secured debt to him being accepted, there's little point in him taking over.

(2) The old creditors, from the previous administration, have not been treated according to FL rules, it says. Birch's construction, which was voted on, is not accepted. In practice this means a higher sum for the CVA - how much higher, we can't know. HMRC as a creditor now re-enters the picture.

What do you think that means? Minus 10 points is peanuts compared to the implications.

Oh yes please...hahaha

Seeing as they are so much bigger than saints. I expect a multi billionaire to rock up and save them

Seeing as they are such a big club and all that

He appears to be taking his time.....how many years so far has this circus been going on ? :D

I wonder if Dineage can put together a montage of Pompey's finest on Meridian with 'who's gonna drive you home' as the backing track. It would be very moving...

beginning to feel similar to Celtic manager Neil Lennon's comment on Rangers going out of SPL.

It will feel strange not having them around, and there won't be the pressure on (us) to win in a derby game, but to have them disappear altogether is a bit sad.

F*ck them.... f*ck them with a giant butt f*cking stick.

The amount of small businesses (and hence ordinary honest people's lives) they've destroyed by not paying them money that they are owed (they owe my current company about 40 grand..and my old school thousands and thousands), as well as the tax which, quite frankly..if i didn't pay...i'd be able to afford to go and buy stuff i currently can't afford.....you see what an absolute bunch of helmets and a disease they really are to the sport. They cheated their way to success. It's quite simple....they spent far beyond they're means and they are being suitably punished for it.

Yes it's not nice for their fans...but then..most of their fans aren't very nice =)

Quality post. Would like to see a few tears in Fred's eyes as well.

I wonder if the self proclaimed 'Best Fans in the World' feel their FA cup win was worth it?

On the nutjob thread there's a quote from a Skate about "wouldn't change it for anything" from a few weeks back.
