how has the Steve Davis deal "collapsed"? He signed a 3 year deal, and it was announced on our website.

 

I understand the whole contract dispute malarkey with Rangers newco, but that all sounds like it'll be a formality

People have got to understand how a lot of paper "reporting" works these days. That "story" has clearly come from some guy sat at a desk at The Star browsing the internet.

It has no more accuracy than some of the speculation on here.

Davis will be absolutely fine, Everton have said so re Naismith who is in the exact same situation.

 

Re Buttner who knows - the longer it goes the more unlikely IMO.

I'm pretty sure the Davis situation will get sorted, otherwise the club would have pulled the articles about him signing on the os. The Buttner deal seems to be another matter. Probably something to do with a either a greedy player or agent. If its the player then I'll be happy for the club to move on to another target.

I think I'd rather believe the reporting which doesn't come with a massive amount of hype and bullsh11te. i.e the BBC giving full details of the "third party" scenario re: Buttner and the clarification of the Davis deal being subject to clarification about Steven Davis' registration (which is the same for all previously in-contract ex-Rangers players from last season).
