supersonic Posted 10 July, 2012 Posted 10 July, 2012 I've tried ringing the club over the past few days and have had no luck, Does anyone know if A) is it segregated seating or can fans from all 3 clubs sit together B) is it reserved seating or sit where you want? Thanks in advance
mdearlove Posted 10 July, 2012 Posted 10 July, 2012 don't know about segregation but it is reserved seating - 6 of us in block 5
derry Posted 10 July, 2012 Posted 10 July, 2012 The other three friendlies have assigned seats. If bought on line no choice of seat but choice of block. If bought at ticket office an assigned seat can be chosen if available,

mdearlove Posted 10 July, 2012 Posted 10 July, 2012 Looks like the system does allow it, just not for the freendly. You can select a specific seat if you are looking for a season ticket.
Turkish Posted 10 July, 2012 Posted 10 July, 2012 damn, i was hoping this was going to be a seating plan thread for the big day.

If bought at ticket office an assigned seat can be chosen if available, When they announced the new ticketing system at the end of the season I'm pretty convinced they said it would allow individual seat selection. Maybe they aren't activating that feature until after the friendlies....? Who knows...?

Yes that's the case, and you can also obtain a view of the pitch from approximately the same spot as your seat (3 views for most blocks) I'm sure this will be up and running come once the season ticket sales have finished and tickets for the Wigan and Man U games go on sale
NorthamAndAway Posted 10 July, 2012 Posted 10 July, 2012 Arsenal have been given 1000 tickets so it will be segregated this year, http://www.arsenal.com/match-menu/173409/first-team/-v-arsenal?tab=tickets

DJ_TOAST Posted 10 July, 2012 Posted 10 July, 2012 So is anybody actually going to this ? I don't know anybody who is out of my friends / workmates etc who normally go to games. I'm tempted as could really do with a fix of Saints/football but just feel the price is too high sadly.
mdearlove Posted 10 July, 2012 Posted 10 July, 2012 6 of us going, but 3 of those are kids so are free. £75 for 6 isn't too bad, but wouldn't pay £25 if it were just me
JRM Posted 10 July, 2012 Posted 10 July, 2012 i bought some tickets for my Dad at the weekend and they have hardly sold any according to the ticket office just a couple of thousand, bit of a shambles, clearly there is no demand for this tournament at the prices being charged. Probably be a big walk up on the day as people decide nearer the time, but i can't see there being more than 8000. shame really for those who do go as it won't feel like an event in a empty stadium
Pugwash Posted 10 July, 2012 Posted 10 July, 2012 I'm going as part of the 3-match deal. Worth it for the Ajax and Udinese matches alone.

I'm going because I feel a personal need to physically say thanks to the memory of ML. I don't mean to sound 'holier than thou' or anything, it's just how I sincerely feel. I won't be going to any of the other friendlies except maybe Exeter which is just down the road from me. Edited 10 July, 2012 by RonManager
supersonic Posted 10 July, 2012 Author Posted 10 July, 2012 Update from ticket office: Segregated sections for away fans, tickets can be bought on the day (only way now for Arsenal fans to buy some) plenty of tickets left. I asked how many had been sold and the guy couldn't tell me, I know there are some on here who can find out, so let us know please
Dig Dig Posted 10 July, 2012 Posted 10 July, 2012 I'd also like to sit next MLG. MLG, would you like to sit in between saint Charlie and I?
Thedelldays Posted 10 July, 2012 Posted 10 July, 2012 Why do people get a hard on about how many tickets are sold. Or not. For friendlies Its like you constantly have something to prove to other fans
derry Posted 10 July, 2012 Posted 10 July, 2012 I'm not interested in this sort of training exercise. Furthermore any players from these clubs who have played in the Euro's, are playing in the U19 tournament, have been selected for the Olympics won't be there. I find the elongated format of three 45 min games with probably multiple team changes in the process at this early stage of pre season meaningless.

Jack Wilshere will play, he is the only Arsenal player worth seeing anyway. Most Anderlecht players will be playing I would have thought.
Lets B Avenue Posted 10 July, 2012 Posted 10 July, 2012 Is wilshere even fit to play yet? He wont be betting on the matches though. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2171249/Jack-Wilshere-warned-UEFA-betting-rules.html
Whitey Grandad Posted 10 July, 2012 Posted 10 July, 2012 Will the giant flag be out? I can't be there to see it of course, but if it is could some kind soul post a picture of it for me?
Dan Posted 10 July, 2012 Posted 10 July, 2012 Had it been a 90 minute match or if Rangers were still playing, I would have gone. Got no interest in going now though. Also its a silly price for a "knock off" friendly.
ottery st mary Posted 10 July, 2012 Posted 10 July, 2012 I am going to try out my new Saints shirt:rolleyes:
