Memorial Cup Seating

The other three friendlies have assigned seats. If bought on line no choice of seat but choice of block. If bought at ticket office an assigned seat can be chosen if available,

So the new (presumably expensive) ticketing system is no better than the last one then...

When they announced the new ticketing system at the end of the season I'm pretty convinced they said it would allow individual seat selection. Maybe they aren't activating that feature until after the friendlies....? Who knows...?

Looks like the system does allow it, just not for the freendly. You can select a specific seat if you are looking for a season ticket.

Yes that's the case, and you can also obtain a view of the pitch from approximately the same spot as your seat (3 views for most blocks)

I'm sure this will be up and running come once the season ticket sales have finished and tickets for the Wigan and Man U games go on sale

So is anybody actually going to this ?

I don't know anybody who is out of my friends / workmates etc who normally go to games.

I'm tempted as could really do with a fix of Saints/football but just feel the price is too high sadly.

i bought some tickets for my Dad at the weekend and they have hardly sold any according to the ticket office just a couple of thousand, bit of a shambles, clearly there is no demand for this tournament at the prices being charged. Probably be a big walk up on the day as people decide nearer the time, but i can't see there being more than 8000.

shame really for those who do go as it won't feel like an event in a empty stadium

I am, not because I'm particularly enamoured about the 'event', goes on a bit too long imo. I'm going because I feel a personal need to physically say thanks to the memory of ML.

I don't mean to sound 'holier than thou' or anything, it's just how I sincerely feel.

I won't be going to any of the other friendlies except maybe Exeter which is just down the road from me.

Update from ticket office:

Segregated sections for away fans, tickets can be bought on the day (only way now for Arsenal fans to buy some)

plenty of tickets left.

I asked how many had been sold and the guy couldn't tell me, I know there are some on here who can find out, so let us know please

I'm not interested in this sort of training exercise. Furthermore any players from these clubs who have played in the Euro's, are playing in the U19 tournament, have been selected for the Olympics won't be there. I find the elongated format of three 45 min games with probably multiple team changes in the process at this early stage of pre season meaningless.

Jack Wilshere will play, he is the only Arsenal player worth seeing anyway. Most Anderlecht players will be playing I would have thought.

Why do people get a hard on about how many tickets are sold. Or not. For friendlies

Its like you constantly have something to prove to other fans

Tsk Jamie. If we sell out for this it'll prove we need a bigger stadium.
