Thedelldays Posted 8 July, 2012 Posted 8 July, 2012 anyone remotely interested.? I am not at all....apart from seeing how cork gets on listening to Pearce going on and on about how serious he is about it..just does not seem right...
jawillwill Posted 8 July, 2012 Posted 8 July, 2012 You think the manager shouldn't be taking it seriously?
hamster Posted 8 July, 2012 Posted 8 July, 2012 I'm not remotely interested...apart from being a little bit interested.
BadgerBadger Posted 9 July, 2012 Posted 9 July, 2012 anyone remotely interested.? I am not at all....apart from seeing how cork gets onlistening to Pearce going on and on about how serious he is about it..just does not seem right... so you are a little interested then........?
Barry the Badger Posted 9 July, 2012 Posted 9 July, 2012 I'm kind of interested. Will probably watch them. Don't see any particular reason not to.
hypochondriac Posted 14 July, 2012 Posted 14 July, 2012 Of course I am interested. It's sport, it involves Great Britain that I support. Better than that, it's a football competition and there is a possibility that we could win a medal in it.
doubleonothing Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 Just flicking through the TV and saw Team GB v Sweden was on (Womens). Some of the Swedish players aren't too shabby..... But it was quite dire so turned it off. Will prob watch the Men's team tonight.
sfc1971 Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 It`s a Football tourno on TV during the close season and we have a player in the Team. What is not interesting about that ?
JackFrost Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 It'll be a good indicator how good our young players are compared with other countries. I expect Brazil to stuff us looking at their squad
doubleonothing Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 Right coverage is about to start. Not seen anything on team news. Hopefully Cork to start!
doubleonothing Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 No Cork starting. Notice the Welsh players didn't sing the Anthem. Make 'em sing it Psycho! They're playing for GB now!
alpine_saint Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 Trying to wonder why there is any expectation from Team GB. They are a mongrel that has been cobbled together at short notice and with plenty of controversy, playing settled teams from other FAs.

Occaisonally the Barbarians or the Lions get a result in rugby against a settled team. Same COULD happen here (doubt it but you never know)
doubleonothing Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 2-0 Stupid penalty given away by Micah Richards
dubai_phil Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 Spanish taters on ESPN2 have been mentioning JC & Southampton a lot Great tackle there in the box by JC on Lucas & a great first time ball to set up an attack about 5 mins ago Looks the part tbh
trousers Posted 20 July, 2012 Posted 20 July, 2012 Butland looks very very good. Just added another million to his value in the last 10 minutes I'd venture...
doubleonothing Posted 26 July, 2012 Posted 26 July, 2012 Right. Nearly time for Team GB's first game. Coverage starting on BBC1 now.
doubleonothing Posted 26 July, 2012 Posted 26 July, 2012 BBC News (UK) @BBCNews #TeamGB v Senegal: Butland, Bertrand, Richards, Caulker, Taylor, Cleverley, Allen, Giggs, Rose, Sturridge,Bellamy. LIVE http://bbc.in/STRazr

ericofarabia Posted 26 July, 2012 Posted 26 July, 2012 Boo. No Cork. OK .... that's me off to bed then.
S-Clarke Posted 26 July, 2012 Posted 26 July, 2012 blimey, what painful, dull viewing this is. Might watch a soap.
Sour Mash Posted 26 July, 2012 Posted 26 July, 2012 Why are they called "Team GB", what is wrong with just "Great Britain"?
doubleonothing Posted 26 July, 2012 Posted 26 July, 2012 Why are they called "Team GB", what is wrong with just "Great Britain"? Probably to appease someone who thought Great Britain was taking their individuality. I'm looking at you Wales and Scotland.
harvey Posted 26 July, 2012 Posted 26 July, 2012 A few quid knocked off Butlands valuation after that mistake maybe?
Colinjb Posted 26 July, 2012 Posted 26 July, 2012 Butland pushing his price down....hehe What did he do? I'm not watching, honestly don't care about team GB, just can't get excited for it.
Bearsy Posted 26 July, 2012 Posted 26 July, 2012 What is that ****ing annoying noise they play everytime there's a replay? It's doing my head in!
doubleonothing Posted 26 July, 2012 Posted 26 July, 2012 What did he do? I'm not watching, honestly don't care about team GB, just can't get excited for it. Ball passed back to him, he kicked it up field to a Senagalese striker who had a clear one on one. Butland did come out and the stiker put it wide. Kick up field was just too low.
doubleonothing Posted 26 July, 2012 Posted 26 July, 2012 What is that ****ing annoying noise they play everytime there's a replay? It's doing my head in! Gary Lineker @GaryLineker The annoying replay sound is beyond our control. This is the Olympics so the coverage is put together by producers the World over
doubleonothing Posted 26 July, 2012 Posted 26 July, 2012 HT 1-0 Not one of the all time classic matches. Wondered it in the past but, why does Old Trafford have that big ditch around the pitch? Presumably for drainage purposes. Would have thought it a bit dangerous if players go flying off the pitch.
Barry the Badger Posted 26 July, 2012 Posted 26 July, 2012 What a horrible atmosphere. This is what football will turn into if ticket prices keep going up.
skintsaint Posted 26 July, 2012 Posted 26 July, 2012 bout time someone clattered Bellamy...can't stand him.
doubleonothing Posted 26 July, 2012 Posted 26 July, 2012 1-1 Gave it away from a stupidly worked GB corner
Sheaf Saint Posted 26 July, 2012 Posted 26 July, 2012 No more than Senegal deserve really. A nicely placed through-ball but the defending from GB was shocking.
skintsaint Posted 26 July, 2012 Posted 26 July, 2012 They are a team of 6 foot 3+ players and we pump it forward in the air all the time...feckin rubbish.
Maggie May Posted 27 July, 2012 Posted 27 July, 2012 Are the beeb showing every Team GB match? Personally, I'm sick of international footy after the woeful Euros.
sussexsaint Posted 27 July, 2012 Posted 27 July, 2012 They are showing every single game full stop. Noone seemed to know what to chant or sing. It was bizzare and underwhelming game - felt like Saints could have done much better
Sour Mash Posted 27 July, 2012 Posted 27 July, 2012 They are showing every single game full stop. Noone seemed to know what to chant or sing. It was bizzare and underwhelming game - felt like Saints could have done much better I thought the whole Olympics was going to be brilliant and amazing?
mcjwills Posted 27 July, 2012 Posted 27 July, 2012 Are the beeb showing every Team GB match? Personally, I'm sick of international footy after the woeful Euros. The beeb via red button or sky are showing every minute of the whole Olympics not just the football.
alpine_saint Posted 29 July, 2012 Posted 29 July, 2012 Wondering why they bothered, and what all that f**king arguing was about. Drawing with UAE - what an achievement.
