SW11_Saint Posted 8 July, 2012 Share Posted 8 July, 2012 Any idea how many we've sold thus far? A Brighton supporting mate of mine tells me they've sold 22k, which is pretty impressive (they've upped the capacity of the Amex this year). What is our limit on S/T sales c25k? Mouldy Coat Posted 8 July, 2012 Share Posted 8 July, 2012 My guess is 17000 so far, we will sell 20422, not as many as fa cup final year due to cost increases, economy and people falling out of love with the game during rupert years ;-) .... I might be wrong of course
oldsarum Posted 8 July, 2012 Share Posted 8 July, 2012 Abit bored this morning so checked latest figures on line Out of 28,088 tickets on system 20,646 sold, and 7,442 still available Tickets still available are as follows Itchen - 1438 Chapel - 3080 Family Area - 857 Kingsland - 1781 (mainly in Wings) Northam - 286 I think this figures a bit distorted however as it includes prees box + alll corporate area excluding boxes being sold out and also Block 3 where many think club are giving out complimentary tickets. Even so with 3 more weeks until sales end, a good figure so far and that there will not be too many match day tickets available for big games

Matthew Le God Posted 8 July, 2012 Share Posted 8 July, 2012 I'm intrigued how you worked this out. Impressive tho ! It gives you numbers on the ticketing website of what has been sold in each block. You get a colour coded seating plan of the entire stadium and can see which seats have been sold so far.

Matthew Le God Posted 8 July, 2012 Share Posted 8 July, 2012 (edited) Catching up to the levels sold under Rupert Lowe and they still have 3 weeks left to sell more! Looks like it will be difficult to get a ticket close to match-day with only 7,443 seats left and shrinking all the time... The Kraken Posted 8 July, 2012 Share Posted 8 July, 2012 I still find it quite surprising the club aren't running a membership system. Its free money and a decent way to prioritise match tickets. There is a new points system, so we'll see if that gets used for matchday ticket holders on the database instead. There certainly needs to be some form of prioritisation of tickets, but I'm not entirely sure how there can be before the start of the season. SaintBobby Posted 8 July, 2012 Share Posted 8 July, 2012 Blocks 5 to 9 are the corporate block. I know this cos I've gone for that "club lounge" deal and took seats in block 5, which was pretty empty when I coughed up the cash a week ago.
Mouldy Coat Posted 9 July, 2012 Share Posted 9 July, 2012 I reckon Block 3 will be made available but only on a match by match basis. Gutted because that's where I was going to sit and it would be pretty noisy if they let people buy season tickets there.

craigthesaint Posted 9 July, 2012 Share Posted 9 July, 2012 I think that a lot of block 4 would of moved to block 3 as i did. I sat right on the end of block 4 and moved across an aisle and saved £50 for me & £45 for the nipper and the view remains the same. I think that you'll also find that what remained of the original Itchen North rowdy bunch would of moved too for that closer to the away fan atmosphere. Some simple maths will show you that if they did the same over a year it would equal... - Selling 146,000 shirts - Turning over £9.1 million Plus... - 400 shirts sold over an 8 hour day equals = 1.2 shirts sold per minute! It is safe to assume that is not a typical day at the megastore Alpine. Edited 9 July, 2012 by Matthew Le God

Hats off to them, they were strongest when it mattered and we stuttered over the line in the end. Depends how they spend their money but imagine their fans are saying similar things about us. I just think their style will bite them in the arse.... they rarely dominated decent teams...sat back, allowed decent teams like brighton to have 20+ chances on goal and reading hitting them on the break and barely having 5 chances on goal... you simply cannot play that was in the premier league....
