Abit bored this morning so checked latest figures on line

Out of 28,088 tickets on system 20,646 sold, and 7,442 still available

Tickets still available are as follows

Itchen - 1438

Chapel - 3080

Family Area - 857

Kingsland - 1781 (mainly in Wings)

Northam - 286

I think this figures a bit distorted however as it includes prees box + alll corporate area excluding boxes being sold out and also Block 3 where many think club are giving out complimentary tickets.

Even so with 3 more weeks until sales end, a good figure so far and that there will not be too many match day tickets available for big games

Did you seriously sit and count every single ST seat sold using the online ticket site?!

Good effort. I have moved seats for next season - can you find out if there are any foxy females close to my new seat please?

Catching up to the levels sold under Rupert Lowe and they still have 3 weeks left to sell more!

Looks like it will be difficult to get a ticket close to match-day with only 7,443 seats left and shrinking all the time...

I still find it quite surprising the club aren't running a membership system. Its free money and a decent way to prioritise match tickets. There is a new points system, so we'll see if that gets used for matchday ticket holders on the database instead. There certainly needs to be some form of prioritisation of tickets, but I'm not entirely sure how there can be before the start of the season.

I think maybe block 3 is being held back to enable ST holders from block 42 to move there if/when we have a big cup game!

that isn't quite right, we haven't sold 827 in block 3, so if you take them off the total sold we are back under 20k . would be nice if we can beat the number Brighton have sold.

Thats quite impressive.

A couple of seasons of that, we could be looking at stadium expansion.

I think that a lot of block 4 would of moved to block 3 as i did. I sat right on the end of block 4 and moved across an aisle and saved £50 for me & £45 for the nipper and the view remains the same. I think that you'll also find that what remained of the original Itchen North rowdy bunch would of moved too for that closer to the away fan atmosphere.

I have my season ticket in block 3 ;) did the same as craigthesaint and plenty of other people saving a bit of cash and moving to the other side of the stairs from block 4.

Should be a laugh if the entire block has sold out already! Would be nice not to have 2 randoms every week next to me.

But what if the person with a ST next to you is a kn*b?

Reading have ltd there's to 19000 but currently have approx 200 unsold.

No doubt now all their plastics have come out of the woodwork again, we'll only get about 2000 tickets up there, when halfway through last season they couldn't wait to give teams 4000+

Might give it a miss, the combination of their hallarious wit there last season "One hundred and three, one hundred and threeeeee, we hold the record, one hundred and three" and the wall of noise from the 27,000 Waitrose rotisserie chicken fed loons tooled up with "rumble sticks" will be too much for me.

Slightly off topic but I was told this morning by the father in law of someone who works in the Mega Store that they took about £25k on Saturday and they sold about 400 shirts within that total.

Is that a good day's takings for them ? I genuinely have no idea.

Some simple maths will show you that if they did the same over a year it would equal...

- Selling 146,000 shirts

- Turning over £9.1 million

Plus...

- 400 shirts sold over an 8 hour day equals = 1.2 shirts sold per minute!

It is safe to assume that is not a typical day at the megastore Alpine. ;)

I have been informed that match day takings are around £18k.

So a few more have rocked up that can't get tickets for Spuds, Chelski or Arse.

They even gave Leeds 4,000 tickets and that was right near the business end of the season. Their support is terrible.

that was another game where they rode their luck for much of the game and somehow won

I really think they will go down next season....they just went on one of those runs

Yes they rode their luck a bit but you need more than luck to go on the run they did at the end. Hats off to them, they were strongest when it mattered and we stuttered over the line in the end.

Depends how they spend their money but imagine their fans are saying similar things about us.

I just think their style will bite them in the arse....

they rarely dominated decent teams...sat back, allowed decent teams like brighton to have 20+ chances on goal and reading hitting them on the break and barely having 5 chances on goal...

you simply cannot play that was in the premier league....

Against certain teams you have no choice but to play that way in the Premiership. They may be more adapted for life in the Premiership than us.

I can't wait to see us try and play keep ball against Man City on the opening day...

Only if the megastore is open 365 days a year... which I'm pretty sure isn't the case.

Double-edged sword really, on one hand they surely won't be as lucky as they were at times last season with teams missing 10-15 clear chances per game against them, but on the other hand their own clinical finishing will come in handy.

indeed...it just seemed that against any decent team in the NPC...be it, saints, west ham, brighton, leeds, burnley

Reading conceded a hell of a great deal of chances against them..many, many being very clean cut..

it was not a skill of reading that we missed so many easy chances.

or west ham missed so many chances, or leeds fluffed it

or brighton missed a penalty etc

they will simply not be able to carry that tactic on and hope they remain one of the most clinical teams in the prem

maybe old Brian McD. will change that...which I'm sure he will as he is no mug
