So come on then bulbs what songs are going to sing next season? We've got 7 weeks to sort it. Personally I'm all for a rendition of 'all together now' not adopted by a club yet so could eaisly get this going although Im sure songs like the wheels on the bus would be more popular with most of you helmets. Anyway my suggestons are as follows

All together now, all together now

All together now, for Southampton

To fade

Nd to the tune of Sally cinnamon

Until saints I was never happy, I needed so much more

Rain clouds they used to chase down they would pour

Sent to me from heaven,

southampton fc, you are my world

You are world

I thought we already discussed "you dirty Catalonian bastardos, we're coming for you". How about "Vamos! Vamos! We are Southampton boys, vamos! Vamos! And if you are a Barca fan surrender or you'll die!"

Posted
I thought 'you dirty Catalan bastardos' was a given FFs?

That's what I'm saying - surely we don't need any other songs. My suggestion could be a variation on the theme though, in case we get bored.

We're in the Premier League and this is the 21st century. Our songs should reflect the era and our status. At the same time, it makes sense to stick with tunes (if I might call them that) which we all know and love, so perhaps adaptations of old favourites would work. Here are some suggestions:

Stand up, if you love Chablis

We eat scampi and we eat scampi,

We eat scampi and we eat scampi,

We eat scampi and we eat scampi,

We are the scampi eaters.

Maybe we could sing "Who ate all the vol-au-vents?" at large opposition players, fans or whatever. Or just at Big Fat Sam.

Wow that is so retro 80's. Better get some songs to Human League & Duran Brothers tunes if we're going down that route.

I'm looking forward to singing at our own fans, 'where were you when we were ****?'

Turn on your own. That's productive isn't it?

All Together Now - Good idea. When they supported Roses, the crowd all singing the lyrics was pretty special, sounded well good.

Sally Cinnamon - Rate that highly. Would sound good. Not sure it'd catch on though, and would sound sh!t once sped up to 100mph and drowned out by out of time clapping and people banging on boards.

Both of those are top sons to be fair. And of course the plus side is that we could probably sing Sally Cinnamon better than Ian Brown

trouble is ......songs are normally started at the football ground ,not on the internet or web sites. kinda spur of the moment type of thing . not easy..

When the likes of Citeh, Moan U and Chelski bring on some World Cup / Euro's seasoned International as a Sub .... and his name is announced over the tannoy .... cat calls of WHO WHO WHOOOOOOO? should ring around the stadium, to remind ourselves of the happy days we spent in L1 and Chumpionship!!

like that but have you suggested it before as seems familiar ?

the Quadrophenia "we are the Saints " would be good repeated over & over with the Itchen,Northam & Kingsland north taking turns and then joining in together ?

Yeah, i have suggested it before. We had a little rendition of it in the Alex after the Wallsall game in our L1 promotion.

"we are the saints" would be decent and easy. I fear it doesnt involve enough clapping though for it to go down well at SMS.

Retro for Liverpool and Everton:-

your Mum's out thieving,

your Dad's drug dealing,

please don't take my hub cap's away"

Ha, that tune always reminds me of that post match session we had in the Alex a couple of years ago.

Just for the record, "All Together Now" was an Everton FA Cup Final song in the 80s due to Peter Hooton being a toffee, and has been sung on their terraces. So not only unoriginal but also someone else's.

Fwiw if we sing "We're Premier League" I'm going to go apopleptic, it's such a Championship fluke song to sing, we've already got more Prem history than Sunderland and various other recent Prem residents.

We already have "Jose Fonte baby" by the Human League of course.

Stand up, if you payed your debts...

Talking about Skates but not so directly and possibly hitting at the binge-spenders like City or Chelski...

Why?

This could be very good if the Fratton park line was replaced. The last line of the chorus could work on it's own.

Errrr, they don't have any debts. They're being bankrolled by multi-billionaires who are happy to right off their loses.

Spot on, and as such we shouldn't be throwing stones from our glass house.

Whatever we do, lets KEEP SINGING MARKUS LIEBHERR'S NAME.

After all he did for us lets make sure that the legend lives on and his name rings out clear; both for the opposing fans in the stadium and for the watching/listening audience all over the world.

How about to London Calling by The Clash:

The Saints are coming, from the depths of league 1,

Successive promotions, we're on quite a run,

Lambert, Lallana will tear up this this league,

Cause the Saints are coming and I... live by the river (itchen)
