Doctoroncall Posted 6 July, 2012 Posted 6 July, 2012 Read an interesting article on futsal where the FA are finally backing it's use at grassroot level for the development of kids. The national youth futsal final took place last weekend where the Saints (from East Hull) played a Reading side. It's catching on at professional clubs, so do Saints play futsal to help technical development of players? Does anyone have any experience of it? Article found here
SuperSAINT Posted 6 July, 2012 Posted 6 July, 2012 Is this what Simon Clifford used to be involved in?
Thedelldays Posted 6 July, 2012 Posted 6 July, 2012 (edited) The rage now. Spain and brazil have been doing so for years for the kids Everton definitely do with their kids and the keepers are banned from kicking the ball too Edited 6 July, 2012 by Thedelldays
Golac's Cunning Stunts Posted 6 July, 2012 Posted 6 July, 2012 Looks excellent. I liked this quote: The England adults' futsal team was formed in 2003. They have never qualified for the Uefa Futsal Championship or the Fifa World Futsal Cup and are ranked 90th in the world – one place behind Tahiti. Spain are in 1st.
Easty Posted 6 July, 2012 Posted 6 July, 2012 The answer is yes, saints do. Oddly enough the under 12 academy lads are playing in a futsal tournament this evening.
Doctoroncall Posted 6 July, 2012 Author Posted 6 July, 2012 (edited) Is this what Simon Clifford used to be involved in? He backed the wrong horse - that was Brazillian Soccer Skills. Edited 6 July, 2012 by Doctoroncall
