Bored as f**k tonight and as I'm in the process of having an epic fail with my largest customer it got me thinking of what you lot do to pay for your tickets etc.

I'm in the water industry but have completely lost the will with it and am looking at starting an online fitness supply business as I'm mildly obsessed with working out and keeping fit and need a new challenge.

What's your line of business and do you like it?

Can you get high grade testosterone?

Why, do you need to grow a proper jaw line or get rid of man boobs, they're a really bad look!

Or are you being serious?!

Credit Manager, and it bores the pants off me, but it is what I have been doing for the last 14 years so what I know. Just looking to move jobs within credit, but also going on a Pastry Chef course and looking to move into this area, as this is where my passion is.... Well in cooking/catering.

I do go between feeling lucky I have a well paid job to thinking this is terrible.

Lol.

Well, if you became a pastry chef, then you would have a terribly paid job that is also terrible!

Seriously, my advice, don't do it!

It may seem glamourous watching chefs on the TV and seeing the lifestyles they have, but these guys are the top 0.1% of the chefs in the country! For the other 99.9% of chefs the hours are horrendous - even if you do less than 60 hours a week, it will still include most evenings and EVERY weekend! - and the pay is worse still! Even as a qualified pastry chef, with no experience behind you you'll be lucky to get anything over minimum wage. Eventually, an experienced, very good pastry chef will probably max out at about £25k.

Enjoy the cooking and enhance your knowledge by all means, but whatever you do, don't chuck in a decent salary to pursue a career in catering!

Moan, moan, f*cking moan, some of you should just be grateful you've got jobs.

As long as it's not in London eh Turkish. In which case it's fine to moan or not take the job.

I'm a Chartered Building Surveyor with my own practice near Bloomsbury, Central London. Great job, can be very stressful, but then again aren't most peoples?

I'm an electrician and working at Fawley refinery. I don't mind it, but don't 'love my job' (does anyone?). Currently trying to think of a decent way of doubling my salary without having to work 60+ hours a week. Pay is decent enough but I'd like to be well off rather than just 'comfortable'. I think I probably need to specialise in something then go out on my own. Would quite like to move abroad at some point to live/work/travel as well so that might be a good way to do it.

Project manager of various archaeological sites in Norway, even doing the actual excavation myself, occasionally.

Trained as a Medieval archaeologist, worked on countless sites for many years and did research on Medieval warfare and castle sites.

Best job in the world, but crappy pay and benefits.

The world of work in a nutshell. Job satisfaction is usually in inverse proportion to how much it pays.

I am a PDMS structural designer in the oil and gas industry, designing oil rigs which has taken me all over the world and pays very well. Wait for it...... I love my job, everyday different and always learning even at my age! Very grateful that i dont have to do physical work as football injuries would limit my ability!

No, I use poles for upstairs windows.

Had a chap answer the door starlets last week though (at 4 in the afternoon!). Not a pretty sight.

Working in the Netherlands (I grew up in the Netherlands). Hope to move back to the Southampton area next year once I have gained more experience, the competition in the UK is far bigger and tougher, though the possibilities are greater I find.
