Turkish Posted 14 August, 2012 Posted 14 August, 2012 I've always said that Lee made a big difference to the side last year. Can't wait to see him back in action. Can still see that goal against Derby and the assist vs Barnsley now. It'll be like having a new signing.
mulletsaint Posted 14 August, 2012 Posted 14 August, 2012 (edited) He has played out wide before and is capable of doing so. Just seems a waste of his talents as you might aswell buy a proper winger. This really is like fricken Groundhog day. Do we really play with out and out wingers? I don't get to watch us often but always thought we played more fluidly than that. I don't mind us signing a winger but only if he's capable of fitting in with that way of playing. This is why Lallana and Guly (yes Guly) are so important to how we play as they are intelligent enough to cut in and swap positions with RL when he drops deep or pulls out wide to link up play. I think Rodriguez was seen as another player who is flexible and intelligent enough to do this. I think Chung has already proved he's more than just a striker and that's why he fits this way of playing. Can't wait to see him back to full fitness and find out whether he can cut it in the prem. Thedelldays Posted 14 August, 2012 Posted 14 August, 2012 Get lee 30 mins against city an that should have him ready to have 45mins and be effective against Wigan
Turkish Posted 14 August, 2012 Posted 14 August, 2012 Get lee 30 mins against city an that should have him ready to have 45mins and be effective against Wigan Would you go as far as to say it'd be like having a new signing Jamie?
Thedelldays Posted 14 August, 2012 Posted 14 August, 2012 Would you go as far as to say it'd be like having a new signing Jamie? I would like to say, lee would be like having a new signing. Pace, guile and a decent player. Could play as a striker in a two or in a front three on the left or right.
ottery st mary Posted 14 August, 2012 Posted 14 August, 2012 I would say Mr Lee is like having 3 new signings:rolleyes: Excellent football player:)
Monk Posted 14 August, 2012 Posted 14 August, 2012 Looking forward to seeing Lee, think he will be our leading goal scorer this year.
S-Clarke Posted 14 August, 2012 Posted 14 August, 2012 Didn't see enough of him last year, but what little I did showed the quality he had. He looked just a level above the opposition when played, just better touch, awareness, movement. I think he's a PL player, I think he'll go down a storm.

His touch and awareness looked genuine quality and took me by surprise. I think he could be a key player for us this season
Jeff Le Taxi Posted 14 August, 2012 Posted 14 August, 2012 Did i see somewhere he scored for the under 21s tonight?

david in sweden Posted 15 August, 2012 Posted 15 August, 2012 Looking forward to seeing Lee, think he will be our leading goal scorer this year. ..don't think he'll be our leading scorer, but I'm pretty sure that every goal he does score... will be a bit special.
Crazy Diamond Posted 15 August, 2012 Posted 15 August, 2012 It'll be like having a new signing. He'll be hungry too.
Turkish Posted 15 August, 2012 Posted 15 August, 2012 It will be just like having a new signing This.
Thedelldays Posted 15 August, 2012 Posted 15 August, 2012 This. I heard his kids go to a great school In portswood!!!!
Turkish Posted 15 August, 2012 Posted 15 August, 2012 I heard his kids go to a great school In portswood!!!! This doesn't surprise me. Portswood and Highfield juniors are up there with the best in Hampshire. A major reason why we are yet to complete the signings of our international winger and centre halves is because the schools are closed and they are unable to check them out for themselves, when they do they'll be beating Corteses door down to sign.
JustMike Posted 16 August, 2012 Posted 16 August, 2012 He loves living in the New Forest. FACT. He has a tree house?
The9 Posted 16 August, 2012 Posted 16 August, 2012 He'll be hungry too. There's Yo! Sushi and Zen, I don't think that'll be a problem. He can probably afford his own chef anyway.
scotty Posted 16 August, 2012 Posted 16 August, 2012 There's Yo! Sushi and Zen, I don't think that'll be a problem. He can probably afford his own chef anyway. Be very careful indeed when paying your bill in Zen. Just saying. Incidentally, nobody's mentioned it yet, but having Tadanari Lee back to full fitness will be just like making a new signing. (imho.)
BARCELONASAINT Posted 9 September, 2012 Posted 9 September, 2012 Really sorry to bring bad news but we will not see Tadanari in a Saints shirt for a while! He has just landed at Southampton airport with his arm in a plaster cast!
Bearsy Posted 9 September, 2012 Posted 9 September, 2012 (edited) Which arm homes? Lets not get too excited though yeah he might not be injured, he might just have been smuggling crack Edited 9 September, 2012 by Bearsy
Window Cleaner Posted 9 September, 2012 Posted 9 September, 2012 Lineker and Cantona to name but 2 played with light casts on an arm, didn't Lineker score a hat-trick with his arm in plaster in Mexico 86? Just depends exactly what's up with the arm.
krissyboy31 Posted 9 September, 2012 Posted 9 September, 2012 Really sorry to bring bad news but we will not see Tadanari in a Saints shirt for a while! He has just landed at Southampton airport with his arm in a plaster cast! Did they originally put the cast on the wrong limb?
Saint Garrett Posted 9 September, 2012 Posted 9 September, 2012 Benali played with a cast, sure he can man up and do the same!
BARCELONASAINT Posted 9 September, 2012 Posted 9 September, 2012 God knows how he has broken his arm? Its the right arm and it appeared to be in a full cast. He has just come back from a trip to NICE with his father......obviously a dangerous place to go!

Red and White Russ Posted 9 September, 2012 Posted 9 September, 2012 What's the phrase for 'sicknote' in Japanese?
brett24 Posted 9 September, 2012 Posted 9 September, 2012 There was a video of him on twitter yesterday looked fine.
Saint Charlie Posted 9 September, 2012 Posted 9 September, 2012 And I thought he was out with the Japan squad for their matches?
Window Cleaner Posted 9 September, 2012 Posted 9 September, 2012 And I thought he was out with the Japan squad for their matches? Not picked, because he hasn't been playing I suppose.
Suhari Posted 9 September, 2012 Posted 9 September, 2012 What's the phrase for 'sicknote' in Japanese? 'Tenko'. HTH.
JPTCount Posted 9 September, 2012 Posted 9 September, 2012 Really sorry to bring bad news but we will not see Tadanari in a Saints shirt for a while! He has just landed at Southampton airport with his arm in a plaster cast! source...? pics or gtfo
Saint Charlie Posted 9 September, 2012 Posted 9 September, 2012 Not picked, because he hasn't been playing I suppose. In that case the story is plausible then.
Essruu Posted 9 September, 2012 Posted 9 September, 2012 And I thought he was out with the Japan squad for their matches? No, I dropped him (plus two) to Gatwick on Thursday for the outward journey. The players weren't due back in for training until tomorrow (Monday) morning. Bad news - I was looking forward to seeing him properly back in action.
tpbury Posted 10 September, 2012 Posted 10 September, 2012 Well it will be for at least 6 weeks I suppose. But when he does come back, it will be like having .. a recently injured player who hasn't played or trained for a long time.
brett24 Posted 10 September, 2012 Posted 10 September, 2012 Looked ok on his video on twitter, might be a wind up.
laughing now Posted 10 September, 2012 Posted 10 September, 2012 Are you sure that this is Tadanari Lee? It looks to me like the Korean international Noo Si Ning.
Raging Bull Posted 10 September, 2012 Posted 10 September, 2012 Are you sure that this is Tadanari Lee? It looks to me like the Korean international Noo Si Ning. I'll get your coat.....

No, I dropped him (plus two) to Gatwick on Thursday for the outward journey. The players weren't due back in for training until tomorrow (Monday) morning. If you only read the first four words of Esruu's post, it makes it look like he is claiming to be the Japanese national manager!
BARCELONASAINT Posted 10 September, 2012 Posted 10 September, 2012 Looked ok on his video on twitter, might be a wind up. The kids went back to school this week! I have better things to do than waste my time making stuff up for attention. I thought i would post something some Saints fans would like to know as i have a great advantage of knowing who comes and goes through the airport. Maybe i'll just keep things to myself in future.

No, please keep posting. Its nothing personal, more that we don't want to believe it because we would prefer he wasnt injured. Looks like he is though, and thankfully we have options to cover for him, as we have done for the last 6 months.
Tokyo-Saint Posted 10 September, 2012 Posted 10 September, 2012 I've got no idea what could have happened to him? Water sports accidents are pretty common in that part of the world - nobodies fault. Sure he will be fine as lineker scored a hat trick. No need for anyone to be angry or to look into this further.
Bearsy Posted 10 September, 2012 Posted 10 September, 2012 Word. That's a very mature attitude Tokyos. Accidents happen i dunno why everyone is always looking for escaped goats.
Tokyo-Saint Posted 10 September, 2012 Posted 10 September, 2012 Word. That's a very mature attitude Tokyos. Accidents happen i dunno why everyone is always looking for escaped goats. Exactly B (see what I did there?), if Tadanari is fine being in a freak jet ski accident, then so am I!
PhilippineSaint Posted 10 September, 2012 Posted 10 September, 2012 Exactly B (see what I did there?), if Tadanari is fine being in a freak jet ski accident, then so am I! there is still a little bit of proof to provide with this story Bearsy did you have your easily concealable Handycam when the incident happened??
