SW11_Saint Posted 5 July, 2012 Posted 5 July, 2012 Lambert easily has the best celebration roar in the Prem. Looks great in that red and white striped kit too ;-)
hutch Posted 5 July, 2012 Posted 5 July, 2012 Feels like the longest break ever!! It could be. 28 April to 19 August. 113 days
alpine_saint Posted 5 July, 2012 Posted 5 July, 2012 4 games so far. Man City (A), Man Utd (H), Fulham (H) and West Brom (A). What w*nky fixtures. You can see Sky's thinking. Two pastings and two relegation 6-pointers.
Thedelldays Posted 5 July, 2012 Posted 5 July, 2012 What w*nky fixtures. You can see Sky's thinking. Two pastings and two relegation 6-pointers. yeah, that is it is there anything that does not get your back up..?
Window Cleaner Posted 5 July, 2012 Posted 5 July, 2012 I believe we will win 2-1 at man city not with either Richardson or Butterfield at RB we won't.Can't believe that we didn't make that Number 1 AAA+ priority
This Charming Man Posted 5 July, 2012 Posted 5 July, 2012 What w*nky fixtures. You can see Sky's thinking. Two pastings and two relegation 6-pointers. I imagine their thinking is; Get the Champions and the biggest club in the world on TV as much as possible and every now and then, we'll have to show two small teams playing each other so we don't seem biased.
The Kraken Posted 5 July, 2012 Posted 5 July, 2012 (edited) yeah, that is it is there anything that does not get your back up..? Its quite incredible how angry one person can seem to be, all the time, and about the slightest of minor details. Getting through each day must be such a chore, if learning of news that Saints will play Fulham on TV is enough to invoke such vitriol. All 4 announced TV games against sides that finished inside the top 10 last season. Disaster. Edited 5 July, 2012 by The Kraken

alpine_saint Posted 5 July, 2012 Posted 5 July, 2012 Alpine doesnt like the televised fixtures. How dare he. Lets whinge about him for 30-odd posts. And you lot say I get worked up....
saintchrissy Posted 5 July, 2012 Posted 5 July, 2012 I am pleased with this due to holiday commitments - I can now find a bar in portugal to watch the mancity match and I will be back intime for the man u match thus only missing the wigan match.
Barry the Badger Posted 5 July, 2012 Posted 5 July, 2012 What w*nky fixtures. You can see Sky's thinking. Two pastings and two relegation 6-pointers. Actually, I would've thought the idea of us perhaps beating City would've been a much more interesting prospect for them.
alpine_saint Posted 5 July, 2012 Posted 5 July, 2012 Actually, I would've thought the idea of us perhaps beating City would've been a much more interesting prospect for them. Its a win-win situation for them in terms of viewing figures.
Junction 9 Posted 5 July, 2012 Posted 5 July, 2012 This is why I decided not to renew my ST for the first time in years. I'll watch Sunday games down my local on the telly.
This Charming Man Posted 5 July, 2012 Posted 5 July, 2012 This is why I decided not to renew my ST for the first time in years. I'll watch Sunday games down my local on the telly. All 2 of them? I'm willing to bet we were on TV more last year than we will be this year.
Essruu Posted 5 July, 2012 Posted 5 July, 2012 Anyone have updated fixture list I can add to outlook/iPhone? http://www.thismonkey.com/fixtures-football.shtml Go there, select SFC, it will subscribe you to our Fixtures Calendar on your iPhone. They update fixture changes overnight, so these televised games should automatically change to the new dates and times from tomorrow.
ericofarabia Posted 5 July, 2012 Posted 5 July, 2012 Surprised they picked the Fulham game. Totally p!ssed off!! This was on of the few games I'd be able to watch due work schedule - now that one has gone down the swanny as well FFS.
Jack Posted 5 July, 2012 Posted 5 July, 2012 Anyone know where to look for cheap deals on the trains? We're going up saturday morning and back on the 7.36pm Sunday evening, but the cheapest train ticket I can find is £83. There are 4 of us going so it'll be much cheaper if one of us drives, but with the game being moved to the sunday, it would be a sober away day for one of us, which is a bag of sh*t.

From Euston it's about 30 with a railcard. Singles from Euston to Piccadilly on the Saturday are £7.90 or £11 without a railcard.
dune Posted 5 July, 2012 Posted 5 July, 2012 All 2 of them? I'm willing to bet we were on TV more last year than we will be this year. I'm sure they'll pencil in a few more once we're challenging for the top 4.

Jack Posted 5 July, 2012 Posted 5 July, 2012 From Euston it's about 30 with a railcard. Singles from Euston to Piccadilly on the Saturday are £7.90 or £11 without a railcard. Cheers. Looked through all that, the tickets are cheap on the saturday but the singles back to Euston are expensive and it costs about £30 return to go from Southampton to Euston. Robbing b*stards. £332 to get four of us to Manchester and back. Looks like we could be drawing straws for who's driving home on the sunday, or stay till Monday.
doubleonothing Posted 5 July, 2012 Posted 5 July, 2012 Seeing as this will affect us now...... BBC Sport @BBCSport Match of the Day 2 is moving from BBC Two to BBC One next season - it will air at 10.25pm on Sundays from the start of the 2012-13 campaign
Jack Posted 5 July, 2012 Posted 5 July, 2012 Have you got a young persons rail card? Nah, I'm 25 so not sure if I'd qualify, and I was never a student so didn't ever really have much reason to use a lot of public transport.
Griffo Posted 5 July, 2012 Posted 5 July, 2012 Nah, I'm 25 so not sure if I'd qualify, and I was never a student so didn't ever really have much reason to use a lot of public transport. It's 16-25 I think. Gets you a third off.
Sour Mash Posted 5 July, 2012 Posted 5 July, 2012 Nah, I'm 25 so not sure if I'd qualify, and I was never a student so didn't ever really have much reason to use a lot of public transport. Pretty sure you still qualify. They're worth their weight in gold if you can get one, I'd try that first of asap, take a third off your price.
Dark Munster Posted 5 July, 2012 Posted 5 July, 2012 Anyone know if most (non-televised) EPL are streamed? Overseas Saints fans want to know.
Ziggy Posted 5 July, 2012 Posted 5 July, 2012 Perfect for me. Abroad for the Man City game but back for the Wigan game.
PhilippineSaint Posted 5 July, 2012 Posted 5 July, 2012 Anyone know if most (non-televised) EPL are streamed? Overseas Saints fans want to know. overseas Saints fans already know and the answer is yes
hypochondriac Posted 5 July, 2012 Posted 5 July, 2012 Anyone know if most (non-televised) EPL are streamed? Overseas Saints fans want to know. Yep. I'll be watching most games hooked up to my TV. Happy days.

This Charming Man Posted 6 July, 2012 Posted 6 July, 2012 Nah, I'm 25 so not sure if I'd qualify, and I was never a student so didn't ever really have much reason to use a lot of public transport. You do qualify. You can even renew the day before your 26th Birthday. You'll make your money back on it on this one trip to Manchester.
This Charming Man Posted 6 July, 2012 Posted 6 July, 2012 Cheers. Looked through all that, the tickets are cheap on the saturday but the singles back to Euston are expensive and it costs about £30 return to go from Southampton to Euston. Get a railcard and you can go up on the Saturday and back on the Sunday for £36, for an extra £5 you can even go 1st class on the way back. Look on Virgin trains website.
