dune Posted 4 July, 2012 Share Posted 4 July, 2012 Surprised Lloyd Isgrove hasn't been named. He looks like a munchkin but is a nippy player that'll be a handful for defenders.

Saints even employ 6 teachers to work with them at Staplewood. I think they have their minds on things other than academia.

JPTCount Posted 4 July, 2012 Share Posted 4 July, 2012 only saw the u18s once this year, and we got thumped by forest, but Mugabi was one of the few that stood out in that night. pretty solid CD in the making, good to see some backbone coming through the academy instead of just pacey tricksters. any tease into how these boys will be rated in FM13 btw MLG? :-)

Reeves played well when he came on against Millwall in the cup.He then immediately went out on loan for the rest of the season . I could see him making appearances this season. He's at Chelsea now, so I don't suppose Forest gained much from the win apart from the million or so Chelsea paid them. It would be like our youths playing with one our senior strikers up front. They'd win games, but they'd end up taking the striker for granted and playing quite lazily. We'll have the last laugh for sure when we get Shaw, JWP, Chambers etc into our first team. On a side note, anyone know when we announce the next lot of graduates?

Pugwash Posted 15 July, 2012 Share Posted 15 July, 2012 Thought this deserved a bump. The lads all did well yesterday, I thought. Luke Shaw looked very composed against a very good Anderlecht side, not phased at all. Made some good passes out defence. Calum Chambers probably had the most difficult job in a very rusty side and up against Anderlecht's Kanu. Not afraid to mix it though and put in some good tackles. Jack Stephens looked very solid against an admittedly young Arsenal side. However, he had Gervinho in his pocket for most of the game - one tackle in particular. A slightly naive tackle in the build up to their goal, but quality nevertheless. JWP looked born to the role in what appeared to be a 4-2-3-1 formation. Very involved and at least equal to, if not better than, any of the Arsenal midfielders. Future's bright for these lads. Be interesting to see if they get run-outs against Ajax and Udinese, who will be much bigger tests.
