The Kraken Posted 3 July, 2012 Posted 3 July, 2012 Some estimates going round that we have already sold between 17,000 and 18,000 season tickets so far. So where will we end up? I think the feelgood factor and the return to the Premier League will leave us with a figure of 24,349 season ticket holders. Well up on any level we've had before.
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 3 July, 2012 Posted 3 July, 2012 Someone could go on the online ticket site and count.
Colinjb Posted 3 July, 2012 Posted 3 July, 2012 Are there still rules over maximum %age of stadium capacity that can be sold as season tickets?
CB Fry Posted 3 July, 2012 Posted 3 July, 2012 Some estimates going round that we have already sold between 17,000 and 18,000 season tickets so far. So where will we end up? I think the feelgood factor and the return to the Premier League will leave us with a figure of 24,349 season ticket holders. Well up on any level we've had before. 24,000 would be a triumph and probably would lead to a sell out every single match next season. MLG will be wetting himself at the prospect and will no doubt suddenly decide he now has all the information required to say we are officially bigger than Everton. Lets see if we do it. 24,000 is a lot.
The Kraken Posted 3 July, 2012 Author Posted 3 July, 2012 How many did we have last season? 22k? Bewteen 14K and 15K, according to SFC's latest marketing brochure.
BlakeySFC Posted 3 July, 2012 Posted 3 July, 2012 Bewteen 14K and 15K, according to SFC's latest marketing brochure. Safe, 17-18k so far (considering it's only the 4th July tomorrow) is pretty damn good I reckon.
The Kraken Posted 3 July, 2012 Author Posted 3 July, 2012 Can't believe we have sold 17000'so far Really? You've got to imagine the majority of existing ticket holders would have looked to renew; so that's up to 14,000 season tickets by the start of July. Then however many extra have been sold despite the ticket office shambles to date (which has been overloaded by the sheer level of demand). It'll be interesting to see how the level of demand holds up for the rest of the week.
Hedgehog Posted 3 July, 2012 Posted 3 July, 2012 All I can say with 100% certainty is they have sold and taken the money for 1 (one). And I am ITK for this.
Golden Balls Posted 3 July, 2012 Posted 3 July, 2012 Demand will slow down. I think around 21k is realistic
rick1976.4.38 Posted 3 July, 2012 Posted 3 July, 2012 they will sell very few if they dont let people login to their account. everytime i try it keeps telling me theres an error doing my head in
suewhistle Posted 3 July, 2012 Posted 3 July, 2012 No idea, but all I can say is that us [overseas] occasionals are getting twitchy!
doddisalegend Posted 4 July, 2012 Posted 4 July, 2012 Well I know of 3 season tickets that weren't renewed:( ...Most ST holders I know (mostly dads with kids) seem to have moaned about the price hike but then sucked it up and renewed anyway. So along with the JCL effect we've got to be looking at 20K I reckon....I think next season will be more interesting with regards to ST holders once the effect of back to back promotions and being new to the PL have worn off.
ericofarabia Posted 4 July, 2012 Posted 4 July, 2012 No idea, but all I can say is that us [overseas] occasionals are getting twitchy! You are welcome to him!!
Turkish Posted 4 July, 2012 Posted 4 July, 2012 I think we'll sell around 23k, which would be amazing as it is exactly the amount we sold last time we were in the premier league when we were rubbish and got relegated and didnt need a bigger stadium, everyone hated the chairman and we had no investment. although given the amount of reasons people couldn't make games last season such as the global financial crisis, birthday, holidays, Barmitzvahs, travel problems, the weather, the game being on the telly, the cost, their bird not letting them, road works on the M3, the cost of petrol, the ticket tax, parking charges and so on, the fact we've already sold so many is absolutely amazing.
Saint86 Posted 4 July, 2012 Posted 4 July, 2012 No, unless Norwich have ignored them and gone for a consistent 99%
Saint86 Posted 4 July, 2012 Posted 4 July, 2012 So Turkish - Are you starting to see reason yet? I'm telling you man, 5 years, this club will start to be on the verge of something big! (potentially)
Turkish Posted 4 July, 2012 Posted 4 July, 2012 So Turkish - Are you starting to see reason yet? I'm telling you man, 5 years, this club will start to be on the verge of something big! (potentially) I think so, it's amazing what has happened to this club in the last 3 years and I think the future is massive, it's going to be truely amazing.
This Charming Man Posted 4 July, 2012 Posted 4 July, 2012 No, unless Norwich have ignored them and gone for a consistent 99% There is a cut off point as you need to leave a couple of thousand spare for any potential large cup allocations we would have to give out, as all season tickets holders have been guaranteed a ticket in the T&C's for cup games.
Ian the Red Posted 4 July, 2012 Posted 4 July, 2012 Went SMS yesterday and there was a queue of around 20 @ 1pm..... Think 24/25k season tickets would be a huge result for the Club

Saint Charlie Posted 4 July, 2012 Posted 4 July, 2012 (edited) Brighton have pretty much sold out of season tickets, have around 20k I think. http://www.seagulls.co.uk/page/Latest/0,,10433~2830966,00.html Edited 4 July, 2012 by Saint Charlie
saint_ed Posted 4 July, 2012 Posted 4 July, 2012 Depends largely on signings but would think around 20,500.

mdearlove Posted 4 July, 2012 Posted 4 July, 2012 Had a look online and it certainly looks like they are certainly selling well - a heck of a lot more seats sold than not.
Turkish Posted 4 July, 2012 Posted 4 July, 2012 (edited) Turkish, you've changed your picture? What's going on?!? A foam hand is reflective of my new position as a happy, clappy premier league fan and celebrity mong board poster. Images of hard men are so championship. Edited 4 July, 2012 by Turkish
Bucks Saint Posted 4 July, 2012 Posted 4 July, 2012 lol what a bunch of morons, can't buy ST's person until next week. What a waste of a parking charge eh? Collecting renewals / providing evidence of age, student status etc
PhilippineSaint Posted 4 July, 2012 Posted 4 July, 2012 Turkish, you've changed your picture? What's going on?!? Alpine has hacked his account

Other than that he became disenchanted with football for some unknown reason that isn't ticket price or kit design.
LostBoys Posted 4 July, 2012 Posted 4 July, 2012 My guess would be 25k but I do not know the 'Hospitality Boxes' totals.
Turkish Posted 4 July, 2012 Posted 4 July, 2012 Also Missing the point that the people gettin the DVD are season ticket holders so it's not aimed at the casual fan.
JRM Posted 4 July, 2012 Posted 4 July, 2012 i reckon we'll sell 20k, on average will have 2800 away fans, and have 10k for sale most games, high ticket prices will mean most games won't be completely sold out.
This Charming Man Posted 4 July, 2012 Posted 4 July, 2012 i reckon we'll sell 20k, on average will have 2800 away fans, and have 10k for sale most games, high ticket prices will mean most games won't be completely sold out. I reckon virtually every game will be sold out. Unless we're adrift at the bottom of the league and people refuse to pay £30 odd to watch QPR dispatch us 4-0.
Sour Mash Posted 4 July, 2012 Posted 4 July, 2012 http://www.wsc.co.uk/wsc-daily/1149-july-2012/8749-the-confessions-of-a-fairweather-fan What a pointless, badly written article. WSC has gone down hill a fair bit in the last year or so anyway.

Wes Tender Posted 4 July, 2012 Posted 4 July, 2012 I can't really work out what message he's trying to get across. Other than that he became disenchanted with football for some unknown reason that isn't ticket price or kit design. Well, initially he had indicated that he couldn't afford it because he was unemployed. He didn't make it clear whether he had subsequently regained employment, so perhaps that is the reason. But as you say, he doesn't really make it clear as to why he became disenchanted, so the article is largely pointless.

But as you say, he doesn't really make it clear as to why he became disenchanted, so the article is largely pointless. And whatever some might say there is certainly a feelgood factor back at Saints, the last two seasons have been the best in my 20 odd years of support.
Joe Kirkup Posted 4 July, 2012 Posted 4 July, 2012 Being the sad git that I am and with nothing else to do, I've just totted up how many are still available - 8177 out of a total of 28088. That doesn't mean we've sold 19k plus because there are quite a lot not sold and not available, but held back for players, corporate etc also a large chunk in blk 3 being held ( maybe to allow movement from blk 42 for cup games)
mcjwills Posted 4 July, 2012 Posted 4 July, 2012 We still don't know match day prices yet. I think you can get an indication with new seaon tickets costing £780.00 aprox that tickets will be around the £40+ mark on average.
