terrasaint Posted 30 June, 2012 Posted 30 June, 2012 It's getting very close to Monday's general sale for new purchases but no info yet on the official website apart from that it commences at 12 noon. I would imagine the phone lines will be chaotic which leaves the on line method. For renewals its a question of quoting previous season ticket number for the customer number and date of birth for password. But at the moment it is not clear what new buyers enter for the customer number and also how difficult it will be buying two seats together. (both pre registered) Hope all will be revealed tomorrow or Monday morning!!!!
sammysaint Posted 30 June, 2012 Posted 30 June, 2012 Been waiting for news on this, i had a look at the online booking system, much better then previous one, but no info as of yet, i think to be honest we wont sell out of STs as long as you go down some time next week your most likely sit in the section you wish too as well, 22k max ST holders this season.
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 30 June, 2012 Posted 30 June, 2012 Do you have to have registered online already to buy one? I did but my mate didn't. Hoping we can phone up and book them together regardless?
The Kraken Posted 30 June, 2012 Posted 30 June, 2012 Perhaps a bit of a strategic move by the club not to announce match ticket prices before new sale season tickets go out?
terrasaint Posted 30 June, 2012 Author Posted 30 June, 2012 Do you have to have registered online already to buy one? I did but my mate didn't. Hoping we can phone up and book them together regardless? I thought I read somewhere that you need to 'update your contact details' which I have done but cannot be sure about that. No doubt when info comes onto official website all will be revealed. Most probably they can update your details when you phone.May not be able to book online if you haven't pre registered. Were you registered last season?
Saint_DB Posted 30 June, 2012 Posted 30 June, 2012 My friend and I are hoping to buy STs on Monday sitting next to each other but with separate phone calls and card details. Apprehensive to say the least!
70's Mike Posted 30 June, 2012 Posted 30 June, 2012 My friend and I are hoping to buy STs on Monday sitting next to each other but with separate phone calls and card details. Apprehensive to say the least! why not one of you buy two
iowred&white Posted 1 July, 2012 Posted 1 July, 2012 My friend and I are hoping to buy STs on Monday sitting next to each other but with separate phone calls and card details. Apprehensive to say the least! similar situation to myself and a friend. is it possible to order 2 season tickets online in the same order but in both of our namrs
melmacian_saint Posted 1 July, 2012 Posted 1 July, 2012 Anyone know if concession purchases can be done online or via the phone?
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 1 July, 2012 Posted 1 July, 2012 Anyone know if concession purchases can be done online or via the phone? I think it depends if you're already on the system from before, and what type of concession. If it's student, they'll want you to go in person to show your card. If it's an age concession and your D.O.B is already verified on the system you should be okay, if not again I'd imagine they'll want to see ID in person.

I imagine I'll just have to buy the normal one.

terrasaint Posted 2 July, 2012 Author Posted 2 July, 2012 similar situation to myself and a friend. is it possible to order 2 season tickets online in the same order but in both of our namrs As a trial run, I went into the new online site this morning and got in using last year's username and date of birth ie 01011980. I think you have to have updated your contact details previously though otherwise you may have to phone. There is a box asking whether you are also booking for a second person and asking for their username. They also would have to have updated contact details.
Saint Charlie Posted 2 July, 2012 Posted 2 July, 2012 On the online system you should be able to book a specific seat rather than block, right?
terrasaint Posted 2 July, 2012 Author Posted 2 July, 2012 On the online system you should be able to book a specific seat rather than block, right? Presumably. But we wont know until mid day.
JRM Posted 2 July, 2012 Posted 2 July, 2012 website seems to be timing out, anyone else getting that?
JRM Posted 2 July, 2012 Posted 2 July, 2012 hahahah they are useless in pretty much every launch / operation they do
Matthew Le God Posted 2 July, 2012 Posted 2 July, 2012 (edited) hahahah they are useless in pretty much every launch / operation they do Not Saints fault, they are using a ticketing website run by tickets.com Edited 2 July, 2012 by Matthew Le God
James Posted 2 July, 2012 Posted 2 July, 2012 On the phone it just goes dead too - anyone got the alternative number?
JRM Posted 2 July, 2012 Posted 2 July, 2012 Not Saints fault, they are using tickets.com it never is there fault is it. last year they were sending out books with the wrong tickets in them. if they are going to charge a fortune for the product they should provide the service level to go with it
JustinR Posted 2 July, 2012 Posted 2 July, 2012 Not Saints fault, they are using tickets.com They should choose a provider that is big enough to handle the demand. Were Southampton not Barcelona

Matthew Le God Posted 2 July, 2012 Posted 2 July, 2012 They should choose a provider that is big enough to handle the demand. They are hardly small time. http://www.tickets.com/index.html But yes, it is poor service.
terrasaint Posted 2 July, 2012 Author Posted 2 July, 2012 website seems to be timing out, anyone else getting that? yeas indeed and phone lines dead or busy!!!!
James Posted 2 July, 2012 Posted 2 July, 2012 yeas indeed and phone lines dead or busy!!!! It just cuts me off straight away. SFC ticketing absolute crap as usual.
MOSaint. Posted 2 July, 2012 Posted 2 July, 2012 should have had the option of collecting at the stadium today as well this phone and online thing is always a balls up
JRM Posted 2 July, 2012 Posted 2 July, 2012 Well you could say it is "their fault" for choosing tickets.com, but they should in theory should have been a good choice. i wouldn't be bothered as i am sure there is far more supply than demand, but want to get a specific seat, annoying. no doubt they'll put a typical story on the official site about great rush for tickets on day one.
James Posted 2 July, 2012 Posted 2 July, 2012 The fact the phone system does not and basically has never had the option to place people in a queue is utterly ridiculous.
Crispypie Posted 2 July, 2012 Posted 2 July, 2012 i wouldn't be bothered as i am sure there is far more supply than demand, but want to get a specific seat, annoying. no doubt they'll put a typical story on the official site about great rush for tickets on day one. Yeah, I hate it when they make those stories up instead of telling us the truth about not wanting to sell season tickets. Sooooo obvious.
JRM Posted 2 July, 2012 Posted 2 July, 2012 Yeah, I hate it when they make those stories up instead of telling us the truth about not wanting to sell season tickets. Sooooo obvious. they should put up a message apologising for not being able to provide a decent service.
dellgirl Posted 2 July, 2012 Posted 2 July, 2012 When we renewed our tickets,I was told on line or in person at the ticket office, i.e you couldn't talk to anyone which is very unhelpful when you have a query or need help ,may be the same for you.
BlakeySFC Posted 2 July, 2012 Posted 2 July, 2012 When we renewed our tickets,I was told on line or in person at the ticket office, i.e you couldn't talk to anyone which is very unhelpful when you have a query or need help ,may be the same for you. Ticket office isn't open for new ST sales. It's just phone or online at the moment.
Saint Charlie Posted 2 July, 2012 Posted 2 July, 2012 The other tel no is 01271 335708, worked ok after a few goes.
Isla Wight Posted 2 July, 2012 Posted 2 July, 2012 How do you buy online? Got no idea. Dont bother - the website won't allow access. And the phone lines cut you straight off too.
Saint_Jimmy Posted 2 July, 2012 Posted 2 July, 2012 I eventually got through but was told to call back in 30mins, the system has gone down
James Posted 2 July, 2012 Posted 2 July, 2012 I just got through on the phone and they told me their server had crashed so they couldn't process anything. Saints you are outrageously ****.
JustinR Posted 2 July, 2012 Posted 2 July, 2012 The other tel no is 01271 335708, worked ok after a few goes. Nice one. I spoke to them and they said all the systems are down. They should be back up within 30 minutes
BlakeySFC Posted 2 July, 2012 Posted 2 July, 2012 Just rang the number provided by Saint Charlie and was told the system has crashed, and to ring back in an hour.
Saint86 Posted 2 July, 2012 Posted 2 July, 2012 This is an absolute embarrassment. In short, on the day of season ticket release - no one can buy tickets. Soon to be on The Apprentice: You're Fired! - the saints IT and sales departments. Absolute Morons. There is not even an on-line statement indicating there is a problem but they expect the fans to keep trying for tickets regardless. Another own goal in the great saga that is "the Southampton way" I reckon that even the understaffed and stricken club down the road have managed to sell tickets on the release day
JRM Posted 2 July, 2012 Posted 2 July, 2012 lucky we haven't had that stadium expansion then, God knows how we'd cope if we had more fans!
Saint Charlie Posted 2 July, 2012 Posted 2 July, 2012 Hopefully the ones the processed through before the crash will be fine.
melmacian_saint Posted 2 July, 2012 Posted 2 July, 2012 Given the break in this frantic search, whereabouts is everyone planning to get a ticket for?
sotonjoe Posted 2 July, 2012 Posted 2 July, 2012 The fact the phone system does not and basically has never had the option to place people in a queue is utterly ridiculous. The ticket booking line is 02381780780 and it does have a queue system.
JRM Posted 2 July, 2012 Posted 2 July, 2012 The ticket booking line is 02381780780 and it does have a queue system. once you select the option to "speak to an operator" it just cuts off. waste of a lunchbreak trying to get that done, will now have to try later on today
sotonjoe Posted 2 July, 2012 Posted 2 July, 2012 once you select the option to "speak to an operator" it just cuts off. waste of a lunchbreak trying to get that done, will now have to try later on today yeh, sorry you're right. That's because you need to hit the 'buy' option instead and then you'll get to speak to an operator anyway. And there is a queue for that bit!
MOSaint. Posted 2 July, 2012 Posted 2 July, 2012 The ticket booking line is 02381780780 and it does have a queue system. doesnt have a queue system, I ve tried both lines so what am I doing wrong then?
