Alexander Büttner

Agreed; I'm sure Vitesse said something about Buttner signing an 'agreement' (presumably with his dad) after he joined Vitesse' date=' which his dad says is valid, but which neither Vitesse nor Saints are willing to honour - quite rightly - as it occurred after he signed up. Silly lad, if so, as he's made himself untransferrable as who would just lump over some cash to his dad for no good reason?[/quote']

Don't see why that makes him untransferrable unless he is unwilling to move until it is honoured. His contract is with Vitesse any subsequent contract is his personal liability.

Mentioned in the HCDAJFU thread...

http://m.vi.nl/pl/svt/si/vi/po/kpnc2pay/sc/vi_allnews/dk/vi_mc.08-16-2012.0143/ms/ACLzinw8NH/r/1345122688/pa/238176

Transfer soap around Alexander Büttner gets a sequel. Southampton undertake a new attempt the 23-year-old left back to take away at Vitesse.

Büttner in Arnhem banished to the promises after a conflict over a transfer. His attempt by an arbitration case his exile to undo and a limited ransom to get failed Wednesday. On all fronts, he was unsuccessful.

But there is hope for a solution to the impasse Southampton as a new bid has deposited with Vitesse. A transition to The Saints bounced off a month ago on the requirement of Büttner an additional fee where all the parties to a settlement had been reached. Photo: VI Images

Just when you thought the deal was dead, Dutch media are reporting that we have contacted Vitesse again and have renewed are interest in signing Buttner.

http://www.vi.nl/nieuws/225921/Nieuw-bod-Southampton-op-verbannen-back-Buttner.htm (VI are usually a well informed source)

Well if NC has had to back down on his principles, this indicates a level of desperation at SFC about reinforcements.

Hmm, not sure how your amusement is meant...

Alpine you really are such a tool. Simon Peach has been in contact with a Dutch guy reporting on it to him on Twitter.

He says they went to court as they believe Vitesse have reneged on terms in his contract, and Saints are waiting on standby.

We have now re-iterated our interest.

You choose to view it like that because you are a manic depressive who hates Southampton FC with a passion. Most sane individuals would view it as it is, a clear determination to capture the signature of a long standing target. God you're boring.

The impression I got was that Büttner was a bit deceitful by bringing up the third party issue almost at the point of singing contracts.

I would have thought in NCs eyes that makes him history, completely. Hence my comment about desperation.

At you, not with you. HTH

Yet despite all the sneering and abuse we are no nearer plugging the weak spots in our squad.

Shooting the messengers is a bit childish and pathetic.

And I do love how the graduates of Nick G's School for Positive Spinning are trying the make out revisiting the Büttner deal is some act of patient virtue or part of the master plan by the club....

I will be polite, as know you have problems, and you are bit intellectually slow.

you need to get over me.

I have posted about 5 times in god knows how long.

you completely failed, as you do consistently whenever those more mature or knowledgeable correct you, to deal with any of my points in cb thread.

I then see you struggling and snivling on down to earth thread, asking people to play the post not the poster.

don't think I am on this thread am I?

I won't be here much, win or lose.

you won't have to get upset seeing me enjoy wins.

you can happily write off players like you have with jay R.

I will remember your classics, like give up on promotion to drop to play offs.

or moaning that club arent getting good enough rumours.

I will post now and again, will view and chuckle at your attention seeking ignorance.

have fun!

LOL at Mr. Prozac accusing me of ignorance then saying I have written J-Rod off.

I havent. I think hes a good buy. But I dont think he was top of our priority list when we have other options up front. And if we have a limited transfer budget his purchase wasnt the best use of it.

But hey, dont let real opinions get in the way of a cliche-driven dig and an opportunity for snivelling sychophants like GingeLeTiss to cream their pants.

is your normal reaction to good buys "why the f#ck did we sign him" lol.

you are a thick pathetic tool. relax. I shouldn't be that important to you,

simple frustration at starting the season with a weak defence when we have other forward options. Was clearly a rhetorical question.

A bit of help for you :

On topic, looks like we're the only show in town for Buttner. Clearly comes with a bit of baggage but the lad looks a decent player and perhaps we can pick up a bargain. Besides, we need a mental player and particularly at left back, since Mark Dennis there's just been Benali and Colleter. That's not good enough. Fair play to NA and NC for identifying the loony left back position when many were just thinking centre back.

Please remain civil and on topic, better still just ignore each other.

How does that work then, I have Alps on ignore, but still see his aggressive posts, every time someone quotes him, needs sorting that does.

Only way would be to ban the person in question, which in one go would improve the site no end. Will not happen though which is a shame.

Alpine you state our transfer budget is limited! how do you know that?

Do you think Adkins/Cortese are not intelligent enough to know which positions to fill and how to use their budget sensibly in order to do that?

I don't think you give anyone credit for a modicum of common sense!

I do however enjoy your posts even if I dont agree with them all!
