jasoneuelllfanclub Posted 26 June, 2012 Posted 26 June, 2012 Judging by photo on his blog it looks as if he is in hospital. Maybe he has had further surgery on his foot? Anyone know anything on this? http://www.minpo.tv/sp/view_movie.php?guid=on&movieid=SB1g5Mpgn
Crazy Diamond Posted 26 June, 2012 Posted 26 June, 2012 Well there are some people on Twitter going nuts over it as we speak, but apparently according to a translation, he has had a bolt removed from his foot, so there is nothing to worry about.
scotty Posted 26 June, 2012 Posted 26 June, 2012 he has had a bolt removed from his foot, so there is nothing to worry about. Not a sentence that flows especially freely, tbh.
buctootim Posted 26 June, 2012 Posted 26 June, 2012 Not a sentence that flows especially freely, tbh. Lol, keep calm, its just a bolt, a flesh wound.
leithsaint Posted 26 June, 2012 Posted 26 June, 2012 I can say with 100% certainty that i have no idea what is going on with that blog/website that tadanari lee uses. Will be great to see his full potential once he returns to fitness.
sotonist Posted 26 June, 2012 Posted 26 June, 2012 Hope a bolt to the foot isn't as debilitating as an arrow to the knee.
Bucks Saint Posted 26 June, 2012 Posted 26 June, 2012 Bit extreme to make yourself "light of foot" IMHO but each to their own
Saint J 77 Posted 26 June, 2012 Posted 26 June, 2012 Well there are some people on Twitter going nuts over it as we speak, but apparently according to a translation, he has had a bolt removed from his foot, so there is nothing to worry about. Does anyone know just how bad his original injury here was anyway? We never really found out. Only just having a bolt from his foot sounds like it was a pretty serious injury. I just wonder if he will be ready for the start of the season. I also wonder when he does come back will this injury have made him really injury prone or not?

cellone Posted 26 June, 2012 Posted 26 June, 2012 Hope a bolt to the foot isn't as debilitating as an arrow to the knee. In legend it's the ankle, or do you have personal experience of said arrow in knee. If so, Ouch. If Mr. Lee is having a bolt removed then he must be on the road to recovery, good news.
westofshannonsaint Posted 26 June, 2012 Posted 26 June, 2012 From April... http://www.goal.com/en-ie/news/3908/main/2012/04/10/3025765/long-road-to-recovery-awaits-tadanari-lee-after-surgery ...I thought I read somewhere that he was due to be out until Sept/Oct, and that this return trip to the hospital was to be expected. I cant remember where/maybe I dreamt it.
Saint Fan CaM Posted 26 June, 2012 Posted 26 June, 2012 I can tell you f'sure that a ligament completely detached from the bone and that's why he had to be kitted out like Steve Austin (Million Dollar Man for those too young to remember). It was a bit of a nasty injury and it was also to be expected that he would be going back to have more surgery to remove said implanted metal for obvious reasons. HTH.
Danbert Posted 27 June, 2012 Posted 27 June, 2012 Quote from his bolg: "If there's anyone reading this blog who's hurt themselves or gotten sick, and you're worried and depressed and can't think of what to do… we may not be able to meet in person, but I hope we can overcome this together." What a metroman :-) Like it!
Shroppie Posted 27 June, 2012 Posted 27 June, 2012 If it is a bolt, he's screwed This thread is getting cross-threaded.
saint_ed Posted 27 June, 2012 Posted 27 June, 2012 I really hope he doesn't turn out to be another Delgado. While we're on that actually, time is getting nearer to his return, I assume he is still planning on coming back to win the Premier League with us. Somebody call Chala and let him know to get back in the gym.
DT Posted 27 June, 2012 Posted 27 June, 2012 This thread is getting cross-threaded. Hope this doesn't mean Phillips is coming back (screwdriver joke) (rare species)
Saint Billy Posted 27 June, 2012 Posted 27 June, 2012 Hope he is not still in Japan as it might be a bit of a wrench to come back!
Saint Charlie Posted 27 June, 2012 Posted 27 June, 2012 Seems unlikely he will be fit for start of the season so maybe we would be in for another striker? Even if on loan. Is Lambert, Jay Rod, Sharp and Guly enough? Barnard Im not counting because he isn't good enough at Prem level.
The9 Posted 27 June, 2012 Posted 27 June, 2012 I really hope he doesn't turn out to be another Delgado. While we're on that actually, time is getting nearer to his return, I assume he is still planning on coming back to win the Premier League with us. Somebody call Chala and let him know to get back in the gym. As he wasn't injured when we signed him and hasn't sodded off to play for his country whilst too injured to play for us, he's already not another Delgado.
adrian lord Posted 28 June, 2012 Posted 28 June, 2012 What's the drill for rehab from that sort of injury?
Dark Munster Posted 28 June, 2012 Posted 28 June, 2012 The good news is they've located the bolt. The bad news is they aren't sure how to put the foot back on.
