Colleague who is a ST at chelsea just told me that they will be in the World Club championship in Japan over the weekend of December 15th.

Correct. This will be moved to a midweek fixture.

I found it weird that we only have one "official" midweek game at the moment. Then again I suppose most PL games are at a weekend or Monday nights due to European commitments

Less midweek away games is great IMO. No need to take as much time off work is always good.

We have two I think - Norwich at home and Man Utd away. Generally the Prem is much better for fans being able to make games.
