RonManager Posted 20 June, 2012 Posted 20 June, 2012 Shrewsbury have 'swooped' to 'snap up' the 'boy' Doble, who will 'pen' a deal. http://www.teamtalk.com/shrewsbury-town/7830412/Shrews-swoop-on-Saints-striker?
Colinjb Posted 20 June, 2012 Posted 20 June, 2012 Good luck to Doble, not good enough to make the breakthrough but more then good enough to carve out a league career.
Saint J 77 Posted 20 June, 2012 Posted 20 June, 2012 Good move for him and a good level of football to start at too.
Mowgli Posted 20 June, 2012 Posted 20 June, 2012 Ten years at saints. Almost worth a testimonial. Given his time flirting on the edge of the first team he obviously had something about him. But be honest he wasn't the threat in front of goal that I was hoping to see.
S-Clarke Posted 20 June, 2012 Posted 20 June, 2012 Hope he gets going at that level, was never going to make it with us if we're honest.

Truth is not everyone makes it, and there comes a time when a decision must be made. Lallana made it - others didn't. If you look at the Academy line-ups when Walcott and Bale were there; I'm sure you'd have to trawl through the lower divs. and even Conference leagues to find where the rest of those squads ended up.. Saint_clark Posted 21 June, 2012 Posted 21 June, 2012 Remember him looking very good in pre-season last year, holding up the ball and linking well. Should do well after a season or so of regular playing.
Shroppie Posted 21 June, 2012 Posted 21 June, 2012 Might try to get to see him at some point. Only 10 miles from Shrewsbury.
Crazy Diamond Posted 21 June, 2012 Posted 21 June, 2012 Might try to get to see him at some point. Only 10 miles from Shrewsbury. He's got big boots to fill with Collins leaving for Swindon.
david in sweden Posted 22 June, 2012 Posted 22 June, 2012 Hope he scores against the skates. of course, but that's only if they are still there to play against !
St Chalet Posted 22 June, 2012 Posted 22 June, 2012 Presuming we don't get a development fee as we released him?
