This is what the season tickets look like

Oh, and the DVD is a nice litle 15 minute or so documentary (quality not amazing, sourced from Saintsplayer I believe.... but as a freebie, who cares) it shows a few key games and highlights and has interviews with the players and staff about 'the journey' and the ongoing club ambition. The stadium refurb pictures appear in the background during Rickie Lambert's interview section.

I've only been emailed it, but apparently this picture is part of it all?

As I say, I've only been emailed it so I don't know what context its in, but it obviously looks like a design to increase capacity of St. Mary's by working on all three ends to some degree. Glad they've published this, I've always thought that the club must have at least put together some designs of future expansion plans. I guess we'll see if this leads to a formal planning application!

Not much room for parking with that new brown building to the left. Hotel? Walkway across the road to somewhere? Hotel bars?

Great to finally see something from the club even though it is nothing formal.

To be taken with a pinch of salt after seeing similar designs from other clubs not happen - harbourdome etc

Lets not get carried away. There were images of expansion a few years back as well. The key is the question mark at the end of "our future?" it's just ideas at the moment, nothing concrete and just what might happen in the future.

Looks pretty sweet. That's a substantial amount of work there...looks like a big tier in the Kingsland sloping down to Itchen. not quite sure why the roof splits....you could make that one roof. Interestingly, it looks like there's a podium level in this proposal around the Chapel stand. Be nice if the glass to the Itchen wraps round the ground and does some funky colour show like at Bayern Munich =]

Indeed, however they don't look like someone did it in Microsoft Paint. I wonder - and this is purely me wondering - have we already hired people to draw some stuff up?

Just noticed the question mark after 'our future'. Would be better if that wasn't there.

Turkish beat me to it above!

There would need to be work doen around the ground to allow it, not least the purchase of the Industrial Estate behind the Chapel stand and Cemex plant on the river.

Aiming for the stars hasn't done us any apparent harm so far though.

Those proposals have been done by a professional graphic artist. Do not take the poor quality of the image against them, I photographed them from my tele.

Oh well done for working that out, you are soooo brainy.

Thanks. More so than a lot of you on here who seem to be getting themselves at it. It'll be fantastic if it does happen, but i'm not expecting it anytime soon like some seem to be.

Harbourdome looked pretty professional too and look what happened to that.

Not mega money purchases though compared with having to buy a load of housing. Also something the council would look favourably on for planning.

Club shop...conference centre...offices. Probably. I'm more interested by the podium. Might just be a tonne of underground parking.

The whole thing is clearly part of a larger redevelopment linking into the waterfront. So probably won't happen any time in the next 50 years =|

Almost as if they are just plans?

Yes I have to say that occurred to me as well...

To be fair there is a total difference here. That design was thought up by people who only just had enough to pay the designers, it was never going to happen unless they got additional investment.

I think it's fair to say that we're as best placed as we have ever been to see plans like this through, the upgrade to the training ground kind of implies that - and ok, this is a huge scale development, but I'd say there is genuine intent to make it happen unlike the Skates.

We all know there is a big chance that none of this happens, we don't need the forum prefects to tell us that. Isn't it better to be aiming for something that doesn't come off then not having any ambitition.

Or aiming for something that does come off, yes?

Yes we just don't what the trigger points for this to happen are? staying up next season? 3 seasons in the top flight? or something completely different.

True. I think next year is key though, going straight back down will put us back I reckon. Everything is going to plan so far...

We need to stay up next year and then I think we'll push on even more, next year should be all about consolidation and finishing between 12-15th. I think most would take that!

I'd like to see a huge statue of Cortese overlooking it all. Arms outstreached embracing the whole development and city. Similar to this one would do.

This is better I reckon, just down the road from us. It is immense and can be seen from France.

Thanks for that Tim.

No worries Hammie. For most pictures you see on the web if you put the cursor over them them and right click, then scroll down to the bottom and click on 'properties' it will show you the 'address' of the picture. You can then directly copy that wherever you want.
