The Kraken Posted 18 June, 2012 Share Posted 18 June, 2012 You all know I haven't got access to all the PL and FL clubs accounts but I'd like to see anyone argue that most teams in these divisions are spending more than us on infrastructure at the moment. That's not really what you claimed though, was it. It does show that we are one of only a handful of teams splashing the cash at the moment. Good times. Crazy Diamond Posted 18 June, 2012 Share Posted 18 June, 2012 The one above the Chapel has needed replacing for years, there's a massive block that seems to alternate between staying blank and being bright green. Yeah the Northam one does that as well from time to time. There were also a lot of temporary fixes made to the box that distributes the pictures and a few things have been broken for some time - exposed circuit boards etc. Hopefully that will all be cleared up. I seem to recall Paul Telfer whacking one of the screens with a shot.

wayman Posted 18 June, 2012 Share Posted 18 June, 2012 There will be LED advertising all around the perimeter of the pitch this coming season and there will be an extension on top of the Kingsland stand ? (one opposite the players entrance) built, hopefully, ready for the following season.
stev2001 Posted 18 June, 2012 Share Posted 18 June, 2012 That's not really what you claimed though, was it. Id be happy to be proved wrong but I don't see many teams spending as much on infrastructure as we are at the moment considering we are not expanding our stadium. How much is a handful, 5, 10? I don't think I'm too far wrong with this.

Your original statement stated that hardly any other clubs are spending on infrastructure, which is clearly not true. Man City with their huge project, Spurs £45M training ground, Arsenal's improvements to London Colney, Chelsea's new stadium search, Reading & Wolves investments in stadium and academy, Brighton increasing their ground further, Cardiff's new owners plans to improve infrastructure, West Ham with the Olympic Stadium, and that's just the ones I can recall right now. saint si Posted 18 June, 2012 Share Posted 18 June, 2012 We should aim to beat this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IjXXYVLA9Pk Been there... it's just completely mind-bogglingly jaw-dropping (as is the whole stadium, to be honest). Apparently the two screens along the sides are each the size of a tennis court. As American Football is about 3/4 waiting around whilst eating and drinking, it's heavily used for advertising, getting the crowd going, providing stats etc. All part of the Great American Sports Experience ! Flyer Posted 18 June, 2012 Share Posted 18 June, 2012 you make out that we will have the best of everything even spurs are upgrading their already excellent training facilities Even QPR are building a new training ground and academy that will be able to compete with anyone and it has 15 odd pitches including specially sized ones for the kids. stev2001 Posted 18 June, 2012 Share Posted 18 June, 2012 (edited) What does "More than 71% of our database is classed as ABC1" mean ? Just googled it and it is to do with social classes. A = Upper middle class etc. I think it means we have quite a high class of fans. ABC1 basically means middle class as opposed to C2DE which basically means working class. I imagine they are a profile category. In the media you class people according to how much they earn and what jobs they do, A1 being the high earners, C1 being blue collar (could be wrong, it's been five years since I studied it). It's a similar thing I would think.

You can be trending without that many people actually referring to you.

How will the club's new commercial opportunities effect the sale of your sponge hands? Exciting developments with the 2012/13 premier range. Each foam had now comes with velcro words that can be changed depending on the opposition and situation. For example "going down" when we play a relegation threaded team with a giant foam hand thumbs down. "off, off, off" when a player gets sent off whilst the foam hand is pointing towards the tunnel "premier league, we're having a laff" as a reposte to the inevitable chant "Cheerio" for the late stages of the game when losing fans are leaving. Imagine the sight of 10,000 foam hands waving with that insult on them!!! For an additional £15.99 they can also by a bag of letters for those wacky and inventive enough to come up with own. I'm also planning to launch a new range of flags and badges with a Saints fan p*sing on a Barcelona shirt and the words"you dirty Catalan bastardos we're coming for you" written underneath.
