Jack Posted 18 June, 2012 Posted 18 June, 2012 As someone who can only make it to northern away games, what are my chances of getting a ticket for the first game? Slim. Your best bet would be to tap up a STH on here. As usual, it's looking expensive to get up there. Friday - Sunday from Southampton is a £92 flight, £74 train or £100+ on fuel.
Sour Mash Posted 18 June, 2012 Posted 18 June, 2012 As someone who can only make it to northern away games, what are my chances of getting a ticket for the first game? If its on sky and looking at the high prices, you'll have no problem.
Dr Who? Posted 18 June, 2012 Posted 18 June, 2012 Pound to a penny the first match will be switched for TV. I am going for Saturday evening 17:15.
david in sweden Posted 19 June, 2012 Posted 19 June, 2012 Ironic isn't it ? After being ignored by the media for so long, suddenly we get equal headlining along with Man.City! Still, it's good to get the most difficult game of the season dealt with in the first week.
LVSaint Posted 19 June, 2012 Posted 19 June, 2012 I am planning a trip over. Provisionally 3rd - 19th Aug. When would I know the exact day of this game with regard to Sky possibly moving it to as late as Monday evening?? :/
ericofarabia Posted 19 June, 2012 Posted 19 June, 2012 another good thing to note... in april and may...with the exception of MAYBE spurs...we will face no team that will be in the hunt for the league/champions league I expect Newcastle, Arsenal, Man U and Liverpool were all pretty confident of playing Wigan in the run in last season .. they all lost!! Also, Chelsea needed a blatantly off side equaliser and a 92 min winner to win. As we should very well know from days gone by - teams at the bottom can put up one hell of a fight.
trousers Posted 19 June, 2012 Posted 19 June, 2012 Sky curse first game IIRC, the first live game of the season will be on BT's new channel....
The Kraken Posted 19 June, 2012 Posted 19 June, 2012 IIRC, the first live game of the season will be on BT's new channel.... BT's contract doesn't begin until season 2013-14, so no.
