saintmatt Posted 16 June, 2012 Posted 16 June, 2012 ..OK Computer was released. 16 June 1997. Stand out songs for me include Airbag, Exit Music, Let Down and Karma Police but probably best enjoyed when listened to from start to finish. Has there been a better album released since?
Matty's Caddy Posted 16 June, 2012 Posted 16 June, 2012 Nope. Probably the greatest album of all time IMO
stug76 Posted 16 June, 2012 Posted 16 June, 2012 A classic, no doubt. However, one that seemed to take me ages to get into, but for some reason I kept playing it, wierd.
manji Posted 16 June, 2012 Posted 16 June, 2012 Hopelessly overated band. Lets pluck an infinitely better band out of the air.....Liars.
Sheaf Saint Posted 16 June, 2012 Posted 16 June, 2012 Hopelessly overated band. Lets pluck an infinitely better band out of the air.....Liars. Bo11ox. Radiohead, and in particular Tom Yorke, are fully deserving of all the public support they receive. We all know that you can never bring yourself to say anything complimentary about anything mainstream manji, but sometimes, just sometimes, there is actually a very good reason why certain bands/artists become popular. Admittedly it took me quite a while to get into and appreciate Radiohead, but I'm really glad I did now.
Saintandy666 Posted 16 June, 2012 Posted 16 June, 2012 Absolutely love Radiohead, one of my favourites. Best album for me is toss up between OK Computer and In Rainbows. Reckoner is an incredible song.
badgerx16 Posted 16 June, 2012 Posted 16 June, 2012 Exit and Let Down, but I prefer The Bends as a complete album.
SNSUN Posted 16 June, 2012 Posted 16 June, 2012 Spice Girls 'Spice World' is by far the best album ever released. Lock the thread.
shurlock Posted 16 June, 2012 Posted 16 June, 2012 Hopelessly overated band. Lets pluck an infinitely better band out of the air.....Liars. Tbf liars probably have radiohead to thank for a lot. Like radiohead tho would be interested to know what they could do with a different producer. Their live stuff often sounds better than the sheeny studio stuff that nigel goodrich has arguably over produced.
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 17 June, 2012 Posted 17 June, 2012 I'm not going to say they are not a seminal band, but I am amazed that a group of Oxbridge educated middle-class whingers strike such a chord with the public.
