Look for the junction of "Lake Terrace" and "Ruaphu Street" and you will see that DC 3

in the town.

When was it put there Seatbelt..? I've visited Taupo a few times, and I don't remember it. I do remember buying a book by NZ bush-whacker, author & legend, Barry Crump, called Hang On A Minute Mate, while I was there. I also bought a sports top. Just checked the book case, Barry's still there, but my sports top wore out a few years ago. I also discovered, in a Taupo restaurant, that Thai Green Chicken Curry was heavenly, as it was the best one I'd ever tasted.

 

But no DC3.

I maybe wrong, but I think (unless it skidded a hell of a long way) Fort Lauderdale is a hell of a long way from Taupo, New Zealand!

As sorry, I thought you asked if it was how it got there. I would imagine it was purchased and transported there, but again, I could be wrong.

Yeah, that's the one. We went out of season but they were kind enough to open it up and let us have a look around. The Cadbury's factory didn't though.
