stev2001 Posted 15 June, 2012 Posted 15 June, 2012 Whats that all about? Stopped after 5 minutes because of rain! Maybe they'll still be playing when the England game starts.....
latter day saint Posted 15 June, 2012 Posted 15 June, 2012 more to do with the lightening than the rain
mdearlove Posted 15 June, 2012 Posted 15 June, 2012 thats more than just rain - electrical storm. The rain is pretty severe though - wonder if they will push it back to tomorrow.
Lighthouse Posted 15 June, 2012 Posted 15 June, 2012 There's only 1 thunderstorm in the whole of Ukraine at the moment and it's happens to be right over Donnet'sk. I reckon if they give it till 6 it should be clearing up.
stev2001 Posted 15 June, 2012 Author Posted 15 June, 2012 more to do with the lightening than the rain Whats a few million volts between friends
stev2001 Posted 15 June, 2012 Author Posted 15 June, 2012 Suppose you didn't see the fork lightning then? Would make the game more electrifying
Minsk Posted 15 June, 2012 Posted 15 June, 2012 I experienced a couple of storms like that this time last year when I was in Ukraine. Cool to watch through the window whilst having a drink, but wouldn't have wanted to play football through it. Still, game now restarted. Hoping for a draw.
Huffton Posted 15 June, 2012 Posted 15 June, 2012 Bunch of arse, Ive played in far worse than that on a sunday morning. Just help you shrug off the hangover. Anyone remember that game at the Dell years ago, think it was against Man City, there was so much rain the water was literally ankle deep in one of the corners
Whitey Grandad Posted 15 June, 2012 Posted 15 June, 2012 There was an evening game at Chelsea that was called off at the last minute. I'd picked my daughter up from Reading, parked the car, bought the programme, we were just getting to our seats when the steward said "you can go in if you like but the game's been called off". I knew it would be, it had been lashing it down and thundering and lightning all the way, just like the match in Donetsk.
