badgerx16 Posted 14 June, 2012 Posted 14 June, 2012 http://web.orange.co.uk/article/quirkies/Politicians_want_men_to_pee_sitting_down " Politicans in Sweden are calling for new rules to ban men from urinating while standing up. The local Left Party on the Sormland County Council wants men to sit down to pee in council toilets."
buctootim Posted 14 June, 2012 Posted 14 June, 2012 I liked the story about the worlds biggest doner kebab better.
Saint in Paradise Posted 14 June, 2012 Posted 14 June, 2012 Yet even more proof that women should be seen but not heard. I blame those suffragettes all those years ago. I can of course say this quite safe in the knowledge that my wife will never read this .
CHAPEL END CHARLIE Posted 15 June, 2012 Posted 15 June, 2012 The left might be making a comeback in Scandinavia with this brave 'stand' against bourgeois male chauvinism, but back in the birthplace of State Communism a new generation of politicians are making a decisive break with the past - in the most symbolic way imaginable. http://rt.com/politics/parliamentary-majority-favors-reburial-809/ Burying the moldy corpse of Communism's secular saint seems a perfectly fitting analogy for the fate of his failed political ideology does it not ?
Petersfield Saint Posted 15 June, 2012 Posted 15 June, 2012 This seems to be a continental thing - my German wife reckons that it's absolutely the norm in the Fatherland that in his own home at least, the man would be expected to sit down for a pee - a rule she rigidly enforces in Petersfield Saint Towers. Am I under the thumb? Too bloody right I am!

scotty Posted 15 June, 2012 Posted 15 June, 2012 I'm with the loony left on this one. Its ok for blokes with decent aim, but we left a nephew and his mate staying at our place once for a fortnight while we went on holiday, supposedly to look after the place, when we got back the bathroom absolutely stank of plss. All over the skirting board and wood cladding, it took me ages to dismantle and steam clean it. Never again.

Dimond Geezer Posted 15 June, 2012 Posted 15 June, 2012 On the positive side, I'd get more opportunities to read the paper.

Am I under the thumb? Too bloody right I am! Ha ha when I was out in Germany a girl I was seeing demanded I do the same at her house. Her house her rules I suppose. My wife now (Swedish) has mentioned it but luckily I do have a say in my own home Edited 15 June, 2012 by stev2001
hamster Posted 15 June, 2012 Posted 15 June, 2012 Our local cop shop had their toilet seats stolen last week. Police say they have nothing to go on.
jjsaint Posted 16 June, 2012 Posted 16 June, 2012 Can they redress the balance by standing up for a dump?
trousers Posted 16 June, 2012 Posted 16 June, 2012 Can they redress the balance by standing up for a dump? My wife already does that but, alas, she's not German
Wade Garrett Posted 17 June, 2012 Posted 17 June, 2012 I always sit for a pee at home. Failure to do so would inevitably lead to yellow walls.
Petersfield Saint Posted 18 June, 2012 Posted 18 June, 2012 I always sit for a pee at home. Failure to do so would inevitably lead to yellow walls. I think this is the real reason my missus enforces the rule, especially when other family members are present. My dad always seems to be able to blaze over in front of goal
CB Saint Posted 18 June, 2012 Posted 18 June, 2012 How does she enforce this rule? CCTV? :-) Lower the ceiling to the point where you have no choice
