Sorry I was basing it on travelling out for the semis. flying out on the 26th and returning on the 2nd.

Wizz air (It's the polsih equiv of Easy Jet)

Flights are coming in at £200 each for me with Wizz

Drive/hostel option maybe the viable if I stopover in Germany on the way there and back.

The drive is easily do-able. I stopped just outside of Berlin when I drove to Warsaw. Just pulled into a hotel off of the Berlin ring-road - so didn't even have to deviate away from my planned route into a town to look for somewhere. The worst part of the drive was the roads in Poland, but I believe they have improved a lot over the few years since I did it.

Wizz are a fairly decent company to fly with. I have often used them from Warsaw and Vilnius to/from Luton.

Hungarian equivalent of EasyJet/RyanAir I believe, used them before Luton-Bulgaria, cheap and no problems personally but I have heard of 'EasyJet' type problems.

As the weekend gets nearer I can see more and more looking to get out there and prices going up. And up.

Driving out of Dinetsk where i am based tomorrow lads. I'll report back but am told the roads are atrocious. Straight to Kiev IMO. Pity as I'm stuck with the Lstinos. I'll try and get the Kiev crew to snap the Saints in Kiev

Drive to Berlin, leave the car in the parking at the station and catch the kashtan express direct to Kiev. Works like a charm and is pretty comfortable in a sleeper cabin.

You get to meet some characters on the train too. Cost me about €150 one way.

Prices were increasing by the second yesterday for flights this weekend! Heading out early Saturday until Monday. Went out for the France game and cant wait to get back out there.

I have managed to get flights and accommodation for 2 nights in the centre for £650. The flights were £515 return. Every refresh though yesterday as you searched possibilities the price went up. One possibility from heathrow went from £460 to £750 in about 10 minutes! Ended up booking with Lufthansa going from Birmingham. Reasonably happy as its the same as the day trip option. Just wish I had booked it straight after the ukraine game and not spent the night thinking about it.

Very tempted by the semi. Eurolines (subcompany of National Express) are doing £5 fares to Brussels by coach from London but then have no idea how to get from Brussels to Warsaw for cheap.

I'm with AOL and on their home page today, above a story detailing the FA fine for bad behaviour of our fans, there is a photo of the English fans. So which flag stood out for me? The St George flag with Portsmouth FC and 657 on it. Still, with luck, their club will not exist by the time they return to their sh*thole.

If we reach it, you'd hope they'd mabye be a direct coach trip there and back.

Agree - it is crazy. I couldnt believe it yesterday morning. I knew fares would go up but the pace was frightening! Hopefully it will make for an even better atmosphere out there though- the France game was a little flat. Knew I couldn't get off work for the semi hence why I have just gone for it this weekend. More than i wanted to pay but knew I would regret not being there come Sunday if I didnt.

It is now becomingly increasingly tempting to just stay out there if we win on Sunday, make it to Warsaw and then get home somehow.
