bowers-sfc Posted 9 June, 2012 Share Posted 9 June, 2012 Our washing machine won't rinse or spin and been like this since Monday. The insurance group of shocking and the earliest date for them was yesterday, we reluctantly agreed and were giving an estimated time of between 4-6. So we made sure someone was in, I got home at half 2 and they had already been and gone at 1!! On phoning them back, they said 4-6 is just an estimated time which is fair enough, but 3 hours out? Come on!! He agreed to come out today but didn't book this through his employer so they have no record of him out today! He came out, changed a part and said that it needs to finish pumping out and should be working. He left, 20 minutes and washing machine doing exactly what it has been all week, not fixed and th engineer didn't even stay to check, by the time we phoned him his phone was turns of and he's finished for the day! So, in a nutshell... Shocking customer service and a weeks worth of washing in a house of 7, including school uniforms, work uniforms ect. If anyone thinks they could help would be really appreciated.. Many thanks.

ecuk268 Posted 9 June, 2012 Share Posted 9 June, 2012 We've often used Geeves in Shirley. Always reliable and very reasonable. 02380783270

sfcuk fan Posted 10 June, 2012 Share Posted 10 June, 2012 Check the carbon brushes on the motor ( usually accessible from under the machine ). Stretch them on their little springs if they look worn down. Its worked on mine in the past.
