I am a fat fook and also very tight with my money. Seeing as I have this in common with so many on this forum, where in this great city of ours does the best value "all you can eat?" Chinese or Indian, I'm not racially bias but in the city centre, somewhere.

Pilgrim House for Chinese is supposed to be excellent; although I have never been so I cannot personally verify this.

We believe you.

I have been there and it's excellent. Although never for all you can eat as that is for gutty, tight fisted c*nts who usually eat with their mouths full and whilst speaking.

I once went all inclusive and despite it being a very high standard ai resort with good food the whole buffet experience did nothing for me aside from the buffet at breakfast time which I do like. Only do b&b now.

Kachina in Shirley is by far the best in Southampton, it is also the most expensive!! about £23 i think as opposed to Pilgrim house, Little Buddha, Tiger Lily etc which are all about £15.

Thats crap - go to Buffet City in Plymouth - about £5 daytime for all you can eat.

That place is filth, everything tastes the same! View Pan Asia is 10x better.

As for around Southampton, I'd go for Pilgrim House or Water Margin in Gunwharf Keys

Pilgrim House' seaweed is lush, sweet, salty, crispy mmmmmm. They also do nice green lipped mussels in garlic sauce. I'm bloody starving now ya bugger.

Must have been a pretty crap AI if the only choice was a buffet. Where did you go?

When I went through my AI spell I always made sure they had a la carte and fine dining restaurants.

Not sure haven't ventured near it since my first horrendous experience, but I wouldn't be surprised!

if you like to eat in a burnt out, wrecked building ;)

Argh really!? Well Pilgrim House it is!

Not city centre (or even city) but Ghandis Chopsticks in Eastliegh will fulfil your needs, serving both Indian & Chinese & do (or at least did, it's been a while) a pretty good ayce buffet.

It had 3 a la cartes in addition, and tbf they were very good, but it still wasn't "eating out" which is what I prefer.
