Surely I cant be the only person waiting every day for the bbc and sky sports to dump Bolton, Wolves and Blackburn as Premiership teams and have us up there as links, couldnt care a less about the Euros, just want to see Lambert score a **** load in the premiership!

What's annoying me now is how after the English public have finally accepted the fact that we are sh!t, the media are now saying as expectations have lowered it gives the team a better chance of winning!

They just have to try and build up hopes just so that when we are sh!t it becomes some sort of news-worthy story.

I know. They really cant just accept what the vast majority of us can plainly see and that is that we have no hope. Just saw the France squad today and they are better than us in every position except one. Our one good player is Joe Hart.

I was quite optimistic until Cahill got injured.

I think Lescott is a better player tbh. Nice to be going into a tournament with only faint hope! Getting out of the group would be a successful summer for England imo.

Agree completely - mainly because I want the inane "there wont be any transfer activity until the Euros are over" mentality, and excuse-making for no signings, out of the way as soon as possible. But also because Ukraine must rate as just about the most unpleasant nation on the planet at the moment, and I would like Yanukovych's propaganda coup out of the way ASAP.

At least England will be out within a week; just hope its the last we see of John Terry in an England shirt.

Surely you're old enough to know that you'll never get many transfers early in the summer because chairman don't want to pay the wages over the summer.

Normally BBC/Sky change the teams around on their websites when the new fixtures are announced :)

Just to note that PremierLeague.com (which is the official Prem website) has already done it.

Here's the sparkling Saints page... http://www.uefa.com/MultimediaFiles/Download/Regulations/competitions/Regulations/91/48/36/914836_DOWNLOAD.pdf

Stadium photo is at least two years old, kit is out of date, no squad stats... they're just not trying yet.

Hopefully he will settle in well and stay there.

I actually think we might win it - 15/1 seemed tempting enough each way (1/2 odds 1-2).

Truth is no Lampard helps because we're now being forced to play a style that suits our players - Oxo one side, Theo the other (Downing ideally peeling oranges)...

Big man up front to bully his way in. Welbeck on his shoulder.

The defence is a bit of a worry without Cahill granted, but Cole is the best left back in the world right now. Johnson is a fair right back. Lescott has won the league and Terry the Champion's League.

Harte is a great keeper...

We've sent worse teams to competitions - Terry Fenwick, Andy Sinton, Stuart Hodge...
