We can do better than him, he wouldn't have really been an upgrade to anyone we already have. And it looks to me that we're quite clearly only going for better than what we have.

Certainly better than the similar midfield role we utilise with Hammond. Seems Reading beat us to it unless we are ambitious and are aiming higher. Bloody hope we are and it's not another window filled with countless speculation & allusions greater than the club know is reality as missed a trick if not. We will struggle without a central playmaker. Chaplow has good games but I'd like to see someone of higher calibre or better if we're serious about bolstering for future success & not becoming a yo yo PL team.
