RobM Posted 4 June, 2012 Share Posted 4 June, 2012 If true, welcome back. It will be a good signing on a free, probably one of the best free signings available at the moment for a newly promoted team looking for a bit of quality and Prem-experience. St Chalet Posted 4 June, 2012 Share Posted 4 June, 2012 Great signing if true. Was the engine behind our late season push in 2007. Looked a cracking prospect at Bolton the year after as well. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/4158639/Football-Confidential-Latest-news-in-brief-from-across-English-football.html

SaintBobby Posted 5 June, 2012 Share Posted 5 June, 2012 Actually, I wldnt say no to Skacel returning. Even if he only seems to play well for Hearts. Guthrie would be a great free signing. Especially if Hammond is leaving (I guess he will be, but no source for this)

Red Alert Posted 5 June, 2012 Share Posted 5 June, 2012 A couple of bad knee injuries kept him out a while at the start of this season. Also it wouldn't be too easy to get in the team ahead of Tiote either.

saintbletch Posted 6 June, 2012 Share Posted 6 June, 2012 His great grand-daddy, Woody, does a cracking rendition of OWTS. And his great grand-daddy's guitar kills fascists too. Re Guthrie younger, I'd be absolutely delighted if the same player that we had on loan all those years ago joined us. Don't know what his time on Prem wages might have done to his ego though. Badger Posted 10 June, 2012 Share Posted 10 June, 2012 proper scouse pikeys You could'nt make this up could you ? Staff at Allerton Castle, an estate near Harrogate, Yorks, described the chaos as 'more Big Fat Gypsy Wedding than our usual clientele,' and said those attending had 'behaved like peasants with money.' Police were called twice on the morning of June 2nd as violence erupted during the disco at the nuptials of player Guthrie, 25, and his Liverpudlian girlfriend Rebecca Middleman, mother of their three year old daughter Sienna. It was reported that bride, Rebecca, 23, was punched in the face during the melee and had to go to hospital for checks the following morning "To say they behaved like peasants with money is an understatement," the sources said. "They were obnoxious and disgusting. One could say it would be expected of a rough pub on a council estate, but then that's probably unfair to council estates. It was more Big Fat Gypsy Wedding than our usual clientele." Remember Sybil Fawlty complaining to Basil over in advertisment he had placed in the paper saying "No riff-raff". Tokyo-Saint Posted 11 June, 2012 Share Posted 11 June, 2012 The story has more holes in it than turkish's socks. For example if the fight broke out at 3am, why was there still lobster around to be thrown? Wedding 'breakfasts' are usually pretty early on in the day, if they started fighting then and were still going at 3am, maybe he is the type of player we are after. Jez Posted 11 June, 2012 Share Posted 11 June, 2012 I heard its been denied by the parties involved, so probably a massive over exaggeration of what actually happened, like one person threw a claw at a mate for a laugh.

SNSUN Posted 29 June, 2012 Share Posted 29 June, 2012 We need a new CM to challenge Cork and Morgan but I'm fairly glad it wasn't Guthrie.
