SNSUN Posted 2 June, 2012 Share Posted 2 June, 2012 Joined Aston Villa. I'm not surprised, on one hand I can't blame him for trying his hand at a "bigger" club, and he did wonders for Norwich, but I feel a bit sad for Norwich fans, similar to what we'd feel if we lost Adkins after what he's achieved. Aston Villa will be a force again though, he's a quality manager with an eye for a signing. Norwich? It depends who they get in, but with Holt revolting, they could struggle... skintsaint Posted 2 June, 2012 Share Posted 2 June, 2012 Not surprised he jumped ship. I'm not convinced Villa and Liverpool have appointed the right managers. Yes they did good jobs last season, but I felt the league was weaker last season imo. Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk
doddisalegend Posted 2 June, 2012 Share Posted 2 June, 2012 Will this be us next season then? So of all three newly promoted Pl sides this season none now have the manager they came up with. Just goes to show being in the PL is no protection for the smaller clubs from losing their best assets.
Monk Posted 2 June, 2012 Share Posted 2 June, 2012 Lambert is exactly what Villa needed and Villa is exactly the sort of challenge Lambert needs. Got a feeling, given time, he could do a very good job. Never understood why they have underachieved.

I feel a bit sorry for Norwich too. If Adkins were to walk in the same manner I'd be very disappointed. I guess we know from both Lambert and Adkins past dealings they go about leaving in different ways, but they both are very ambitious though. So if we have a good first season in the premier league we could be in this position this time next year. The only good thing from our point of view is Norwich will be a weaker team this year.
