badgerx16 Posted 2 June, 2012 Share Posted 2 June, 2012 Well you know full well i'm a staunch supporter of country pursuits. Would that be bog snorkelling and canal vaulting ? As a townie that's seen a few episodes of escape to the country one wouldn't expect you to understand. As you have posted pictures of your garden on the forum, which clearly show the neighbouring houses, I can categorically state you are much more of a 'townie' than me - wannabe country boy. Patrick Bateman Posted 2 June, 2012 Share Posted 2 June, 2012 I really couldn't be any less interested. So some old bint is celebrating 60 years of living in obscene luxury at taxpayers' expense, all because her great great great great great (?) grandfather happened to be a bloodthirsty, war-mongering megalomaniac. Whoop-de-doo. And don't anybody give me "Oh but she's such a wonderful lady", I'm not disputing that. I'm sure she is a warm, loving and humorous person and all that, but so are many people I know and none of them will ever or would want want to be afforded the luxurious lifestyle of the monarchy. It's high time we rose up out of the dark ages and scrapped the idea of hereditary rule IMO. Sod off and live in France, Rebecca.
solentstars Posted 2 June, 2012 Share Posted 2 June, 2012 Sod off and live in France, Rebecca. Don't understand why you are rude to her .if that was someone else living of the taxpayer and the state you would call them spongers. benjii Posted 3 June, 2012 Share Posted 3 June, 2012 I feel sorry for the Queen having to endure this turgid procession of banality. **** me, it's been boring!
Lord Duckhunter Posted 3 June, 2012 Share Posted 3 June, 2012 I feel sorry for the Queen having to endure this turgid procession of banality. **** me, it's been boring! But the pays good, and your kids are sorted for life even if they are wasters. Your other half is also allowed to go round the world insulting people, and getting paid for it. Sitting through a boring peasants procession, is a small price to pay. [video=youtube;o60W286cm-E]

JackanorySFC Posted 4 June, 2012 Author Share Posted 4 June, 2012 Botley was as busy as I've ever seen it. 100's of people of all ages having a good time, the Village decked out in red White and blue. Met neighbours for the first time, old school friends I've not seen in years and helped my local achieve their highest ever single days takings. Up early as Village has arranged a 6 a side cricket tournament and I'm playing for my local. Beer tent, afternoon tea, BBQ by the Botley firemen and a spread courtesy of the boys from the Purbani to look forward to. God Save the Queen! Up the Brew!
