ART Posted 30 May, 2012 Share Posted 30 May, 2012 Since the weekend 12 people have committed suicide on the rail tracks in France. All are unrelated but have resulted in total chaos on the SNCF. The chaos is expected to continue well into next week, even without further suicides as they tempt to put into place action to avoid repeats . A really strange event which has appeared out of nowhere. http://www.france24.com/en/20120529-unprecedented-wave-railway-suicides-france-trains-sncf-copycat-police

badgerx16 Posted 30 May, 2012 Share Posted 30 May, 2012 Such is the desperation when the Socialists get in. The suicide rate in France has always been high - they also consume high levels of anti-depressants... http://www.enotes.com/topic/Suicide_in_France http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/why-are-so-many-france-telecom-workers-dying-1795171.html http://www.nytimes.com/2009/09/30/business/global/30employ.html?pagewanted=all ( From 2009 - with Sarkozy in power ) http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/why-are-so-many-france-telecom-workers-dying-1795171.html ( From 2007 - Sarkozy in power )
Jack Posted 30 May, 2012 Share Posted 30 May, 2012 What an inconsiderate way to kill yourself. Same as jumping onto a motorway - just f*cks up everyone else's day.
Saint-scooby Posted 30 May, 2012 Share Posted 30 May, 2012 In Japan they have special sweeper trains to clear all the mess up and keep the trains on time.
