J-Rod believed to be on holiday and we need to agree personal terms. Rather wish this hadn't been made public yet as we don't want to get into a bidding war with other parties who may now top our bid.

It may be 'old news' but when the BBC are reporting it you do get the sense that it is genuine. Does not necessarily mean the deal will go through of course.
