the saint in winchester Posted 29 May, 2012 Share Posted 29 May, 2012 This is old news, guys. News broke last night. May involve Chappers going the other way. J-Rod believed to be on holiday and we need to agree personal terms. Rather wish this hadn't been made public yet as we don't want to get into a bidding war with other parties who may now top our bid.

It may be 'old news' but when the BBC are reporting it you do get the sense that it is genuine. Does not necessarily mean the deal will go through of course. Charlie Wayman Posted 29 May, 2012 Share Posted 29 May, 2012 He isn't! Some matches he's looked downright poor.
Barry the Badger Posted 29 May, 2012 Share Posted 29 May, 2012 He isn't! Some matches he's looked downright poor. A young player who doesn't perform brilliantly every game? Clearly a waste of money then. If he does have consistency issues, we have a manager who is brilliant at getting players to realise their full potential. Step up, Nigel Adkins. Saint J 77 Posted 29 May, 2012 Share Posted 29 May, 2012 If it is 7 million, i wonder how much of that will actually be an up front payment? Maybe £3.5 million up front and then the rest on appearances, plus any future England appearances.
