david in sweden Posted 30 May, 2012 Share Posted 30 May, 2012 (edited) That is sad. There are rumours all of the time - a lot made up on this forum - that folks like you get all excited about and also slag off the person starting the rumour. Frankly I'm more interested in the actual facts than - with respect - inane ramblings from gentleman like yourself. I would like to know occasionally what the chairman thinks - as I suspect would the majority of posters particularly if things weren't going so well! I'm sure many of us would like to hear a little more from Nicola Cortese - but it's clearly not his style to go out and confirm or deny rumours all the time. I'm not disatisfied with the way he runs the club, but he clearly doesn't feel the need to placate the media and I don't blame him for that, and do you think that things haven't been going so well under his leadership ? ALSO; ...I don't think I "get all excited" as you put it (about rumours)..I've been a fan for over 50 years, and have lived through times more exciting that this - especially as we've been promoted to the top division twice before - and as for inane ramblings....surely I'm not the worst at that? Victor Posted 30 May, 2012 Share Posted 30 May, 2012 It would be nice to hear that he is pleased with progress, with what NA and the team achieved and how the club - sorry, 'business' - intends to approach the new challenge. It's called involving the fans (even if it doesn't literally mean that). Otherwise any semblance that it is in someway 'our club' will evaporate totally and so will interest. It would be nice to hear that he has some plan for the future and that reaching the PL is not the completion of his remit and that his silence is not down to the fact that he is too busy sounding out prospective purchasers. Is he interested? I don't know and, yes, of course I should care whether he is or not.

david in sweden Posted 30 May, 2012 Share Posted 30 May, 2012 Well - there is why you haven't heard from him I am the last person who expects to hear from him. I'm not even permanently resident in the UK. Maybe he'll contact you instead....

Minty Posted 6 June, 2012 Share Posted 6 June, 2012 We sure do. It's people like you, with your zany sense of humour and quite brilliant play on words comedy user names adaption (Turd- LMFAO!) that make Intenet mong boards what they are. Oh the irony. Yours sincerely, 'Mindy' ;-)

Greenridge Posted 6 June, 2012 Share Posted 6 June, 2012 We could really do with a fan on the board to act as club spokesman and update us on those all important things going on at this time of the year, such as how the barcode scanner install is going, how the memorabilia sale went today, where the players have gone on holiday and how many gnomes we've sold so far this summer. It would be easier for you to talk to yourself in a literal sense rather than laboriously replying to one of your many pseodonym's Walter

Greenridge Posted 6 June, 2012 Share Posted 6 June, 2012 That joke gets funnier everytime you tell it. It wasn't a joke. How's the holiday homework coming along, it's Wednesday, the clock is ticking. I imagine (in a Walter Mitty kind of way) that it's most likely additional English language homework judging by your standard of (il)literacy on this board.
