Amazing Hangover Posted 26 May, 2012 Posted 26 May, 2012 Now That Darlington have been relegated four steps to the Northern League, (plus point - 350 fans in a 25 000 seat stadium don't look much different to 1 500 fans in a 25 000 seat stadium) a bench mark must now have been set for the Fish. I demand fairness here.
StAndy1970 Posted 26 May, 2012 Posted 26 May, 2012 http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/9728877.Ex_Quakers_shocked_by_punishment/ Only fair this should happen to those skates then?

skintsaint Posted 26 May, 2012 Posted 26 May, 2012 Skate fans should start to worry maybe with this news...?
fareham saint phil Posted 26 May, 2012 Posted 26 May, 2012 When has fairness and portsmuff gone together, I'm sure if theres a way out of any trouble then they will be given it.
Saint J 77 Posted 26 May, 2012 Posted 26 May, 2012 Skate fans should start to worry maybe with this news...? For some reason the rules don't apply to Portsmouth.

Victor Posted 26 May, 2012 Posted 26 May, 2012 Stop this obsession with Portsmouth. There but for the grace of God, or rather, Markus. Otherwise it's not Saints related.
spyinthesky Posted 26 May, 2012 Posted 26 May, 2012 Any idea what will happen to Darlington's fairly new 25,000 capacity stadium?
docker-p Posted 26 May, 2012 Posted 26 May, 2012 Stop this obsession with Portsmouth. There but for the grace of God, or rather, Markus. Otherwise it's not Saints related. Nonsense. We were never, never, ever with knobs on, (even when in admin), going to go that way. We were/are far too a worthwhile investment, as has been proved. Marcus was not a Saints fan, he was a businessman. Fact.
Gorgiesaint Posted 26 May, 2012 Posted 26 May, 2012 Any idea what will happen to Darlington's fairly new 25,000 capacity stadium? It'll gather dust, too expensive to run for anyone to play in, the site would be reasonable for a retail development (sound familiar?) but it's expensive to pull down a 25k seat stadium so is it worth the cost? Probably not at the moment.
The9 Posted 26 May, 2012 Posted 26 May, 2012 Bizarrely Darlington now has two former Football League stadiums sitting empty and unused, and they're talking about building a new one of an appropriate size for the "new" club. I don't know what relevance this has to Portsmouth other than to point out that getting a CVA and transferring ownership of a club to meet the league rules isn't as easy as it looks, especially if the "owner" is being a bit difficult.
