seriously, Well done UEFA.. :scared:

why do we have to pitch such football tournaments in such corrupt backward countries

Seppi wants to spread the footballing word and love.

He also wants to leave a legacy, and Platini appears to have his head up Seppis arse.

If you are refering to the racism issue which is apparently preventing the Chamberlain family from Ukraine then it is indeed sad. I'm not entirely sure it's THAT bad though (I'm posing this as a question not as a statement of fact). I'm sure there will be a few racist hooligans chanting offensive songs, but I doubt it's bad enough to force all ethnic minorities out of the country. I can't imagine large gangs burning crosses in the lobby of the Chamberlain's hotel or pelting their car with petrol bombs as they drive through Kiev.

I'm not saying they aren't right to have concerns, but with the massive Police presence there I can't envisage any serious trouble. Also there are plenty of South American and African players in the Ukrainian Premier League. Less so with Dynamo Kiev, but the core of Shakhtar's team is Brazilian and Metalist Kharkhiv only has one Ukrainian (the goalie) in the starting 11. They all seem happy enough to live there, let alone staying in a secure 5 star hotel for a few nights.
