View From The Top Posted 25 May, 2012 Posted 25 May, 2012 For the pedantic co.cks I know we don't HAVE to change seats but I'm guessing I'm not the only person giving serious consideration to moving due to costs. Corky Morris, Hasper57Saint & I, along with the kids, will possibly be migrating from Block 16 to the Family Center, possibly Block 20. Got to say though, tempted by Blocks 2 & 3 as well but my nipper fancies 36 or 37 & & fu.ck the price!
northam soul Posted 25 May, 2012 Posted 25 May, 2012 We shall be moving from block 4 back to 3 where we were before after being shunted around since their closure.
BlakeySFC Posted 25 May, 2012 Posted 25 May, 2012 Well I wanted Blocks 6/7/8 but £780 is herociously expensive, so going to have to move to either Block 5 or 9
Tamesaint Posted 25 May, 2012 Posted 25 May, 2012 Come and join Block 23 . It isn't that bad in the Family Centre..... although you can't have a bet there as there are no bookies.
doddisalegend Posted 25 May, 2012 Posted 25 May, 2012 yeah I'm in block 19 so looks like I'll be moving one over (though I'm still deciding whether to renew or not) to block 20 to save money.
Liquidshokk Posted 25 May, 2012 Posted 25 May, 2012 If I was to move from my beloved premium seat in itchen to the family centre how disappointing will it be? I take it you don't have to have to be accompanying kids?! How annoying are they and what's the atmosphere like? Might be the only way I can justify renewing
RonManager Posted 25 May, 2012 Posted 25 May, 2012 We shall be moving from block 4 back to 3 where we were before after being shunted around since their closure. I can see the whole of Block 4 moving one block to the right after it's redesignation, I know I will. If I can get a seat on the end of a row in 3 then I'll only be a few seats away from where I am now and will save £50.

The atmosphere is like a morgue. The only good bit being that if you have an under 11 to take its free in there?

Oh I'm used to it being like a morgue mate! Block 7 isn't too dissimilar :-S At 200 quid cheaper than my current seat, if it's it's just a few grotty kids that make it worse, I can cope with that.
corky morris Posted 25 May, 2012 Posted 25 May, 2012 Problem is, is that if we keep our current seats the cost goes from £720 to £1320. That is disgusting imho. Looks like block 20 is going to be our new home, but I bet a lot of us in 16 & 17 will be trying to move to 20 as wel.............

You get a lot fewer eejits moaning and screaming abuse at our own players. The kids are obviously evident, but they're enthusiastic and dont dominate the atmosphere.
saints_is_the_south Posted 25 May, 2012 Posted 25 May, 2012 What's the betting the club will charge an admin fee for those who wish to move seats!
saints triumph Posted 25 May, 2012 Posted 25 May, 2012 Me and mates are in block 24 and there are a few older kids there which arn't a problem. If you like a halftime pint its easy enough to get one as the bigger ques are for the burger and cola bar.
Give it to Ron Posted 26 May, 2012 Posted 26 May, 2012 (edited) 7 of us moving from block 34 or hoping to as it will save us a small fortune just because someone has decided the seats we have sat in for over 5 years are now centre funny they weren't in League 1. Legod Third Coming Posted 26 May, 2012 Posted 26 May, 2012 I don't know where this family centre is but I've been in the Chapel (near the back) all season and can confirm: 1. View is excellent. 2. The atmosphere dedpends on how willling you are to open your gob and use it. 3. The kids do not get in the way. 4. It has not adversely affected results... Thinking about nailing a permanent spot right behind the penalty spot to be honest.
Give it to Ron Posted 26 May, 2012 Posted 26 May, 2012 Thinking about nailing a permanent spot right behind the penalty spot to be honest. How close to the penalty spot are you are replacing Bart??

Block 35 for me probably. although trying to convince two lads to move back to Itchen where we were before they started ****ing around.
fatpix2003 Posted 26 May, 2012 Posted 26 May, 2012 I'm sure when I tried to move a couple of years back I couldn't get it at renewal price and had to pay a new season ticket price

eurosaint Posted 26 May, 2012 Posted 26 May, 2012 Am staying put, almost relieved to only pay a 22% increase this year after a 72% hike last season (60 to 65 change!) although if I recalculate for 3 less matches it's about 50% ! What I do notice though is that OAP concessions are very small compared to other clubs (no discount at all in premium areas, average about 15% elsewhere, excepting the family stand where you get 34%!).
