Montpellier Legend, Remi Gaillard...FOOT 2012

I am certain most have seen Remi Gaillard, Montpellier's famous prankster and trickster on TV or his clips on Youtube. He's a legend, always being hauled in by the Cops, or being beaten up by angry punters he's got the better of.

3 million views in 3 days. Here he is showing his awesome ball skills incorporated with scenes of the 70,000 Montpellier citizens celebrating Montpellier winning the French Ligue Championship in the centre of the city. Awesome, and a shame no one offered to take me along.

*** Anyone see him running on during an international, grabbing the ball and scoring before anyone realised he was in either team?

Made the mistake of showing my boys a load of his videos at the start of the summer. The back garden has been filled with buckets, boxes, targets and bottles that they have been trying to land in, knock over or hit squarely since then.

To put it into perspective I remember a few years ago seeing some of our players challenged to hit a dead ball - into a open goal - from the half way line. Some came close but if I recall correctly none of these professional footballers could actually manage to do that. An easy enough task you would have thought when compared to some of the stunts shown on here

I'd love to know how many attempts it takes Remi to get these 'trickshots' right - quite a few I guess - but however many it is his ability to control of a football is phenomenal. Indeed, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like it.

You're thinking of the crossbar challenge, which is hard. They could all kick it into an open net from the halfway line (not saying someone wouldn't fluff it, but they are all very capable of doing it).
