John Guidetti ...who?

...is a Swedish player I've written about several times.

Moved to Man.City's youth side aged 16 from Stockholms Brommapojkarna nursery side....and starred through their Academy teams.

Aged 19, went on loan last season to Feyenoord, where he scored 20+goals, and now rumoured by Daily Express to go on a season loan to SWANSEA.

The lad is a real slugger, (type Billy Sharp) - if true (?)... he could do a lot to help Swansea keep their Prem spot ..or SAINTS' ?

I'd rather see him scoring for us than for them.

I could have sworn there was a thread for this kind of thing...

http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?33461-Football-Manager-2012-updates-thread

We are not able to discuss the changing player attributes on different versions of the game on here though as it is mainly focused on the 2012 edition. So not a bad idea to have a thread about it on the main board.

Was very good for me on FM 2011.

Useful - that's the version I'm currently playing.

Apparently City see him in their starting XI in the next few years, so they're expecting big things. Would be a good season long loan, leaving the cash to be spent on other positions.

He was excellent in real life for Feyenoord!!! Sign him up immediately. instead of Rodriguez!!!!

At last ..someone who read the opening post.

Guidetti might only get on the bench with Saints (if in competition with Lambert / Sharp), but he'd be a regular with Swansea ..and he will score goals.

u think he is good enough only for the bench?

I think he's good enough to be selected, but Sharp and Lambert are first choice strikers, and with T.Lee and possibly Rodriguez to sign he wouldn't get lots of games with SFC, whereas Swansea don't have the same depth in their squad and he'd certainly get regular games there.

I'd have Guidetti here in a second, and I've never so much as seen the kid play. (Or played Football Manager in the last 6 years, before anyone starts). But scoring goals in the Dutch League at a young age, being a Man City signing for the future and being in the Sweden squad already are enough evidence for me.

Ajax is my favourite (fingers crossed for that friendly!) team in the Netherlands so its quite hard to admit a Feyenoord player being any good but Guidetti is a very good player. He was the absolute leader of Feyenoord on and off the field. It is telling how many points Feyenoord lost when he was injured/suspended. The only thing is I wouldn't want him as a bench player, I'm not sure he'd react to well to that. He's been quite adamant he doesn't want to be at City next season if there's no place for him in the first team and I can't imagine that sitting on the bench at Saints will be to his liking. But if we don't sign Rodriguez I can't see why he won't be one of our first choice players.

Hmm, doesn't smack of the Adkins way, does it? I suppose that's going to be a fundamental risk as we sign better players. They know they're better players.

You can see him scoring (several clips) ..for Feyenoord on U-Tube..plus other sites with an interview.

Seems like a pretty level-headed lad.

After the Steve De Ridder You Tube love-fest and how hit and miss that became, I think I'll wait and see him in context (whoever it's for).

after saying you'd never seen him play...and then expressing your interest in post #15, I thought you'd be interested to see who you were endorsing.
