Turkish Posted 23 May, 2012 Share Posted 23 May, 2012 I like your thinking. Premier league experience, once good players, well past their best and injury prone, they'd fit in well with Hargreaves and Owen. Funnily enough I saw Anderrton in Cenos the other day, maybe looking at houses in the Highfield area?
Thedelldays Posted 23 May, 2012 Share Posted 23 May, 2012 only the half baked brains on SWF would spend pages on here saying NOOOOOO to michael owen and then say Hargreaves would be ok

Raging Bull Posted 23 May, 2012 Share Posted 23 May, 2012 What about killer back in a CB partnership with Powell, we could have a starting 11 full of glass knees!

Raging Bull Posted 23 May, 2012 Share Posted 23 May, 2012 Put Davies at LB, bring Darren Powell into CB and possibly ad Frazier richardson at RB. Also iniakez (sp) as CM back up in case hargreaves starts to show signs of a prolonged run of fitness!
Crazy Diamond Posted 23 May, 2012 Share Posted 23 May, 2012 Anderton, yes. Saints fan. Just what we need. Brian Howard, Lukas Jutkiewicz and Brian Stock need to be scouted while we're there. Ashton scored a hat-trick against us for Norwich, he hates the club, wouldn't want him here. Put Davies at LB, bring Darren Powell into CB and possibly ad Frazier richardson at RB. Also iniakez (sp) as CM back up in case hargreaves starts to show signs of a prolonged run of fitness! Powell is in non-league, he'd love the chance to come back. I see no issue with this. david in sweden Posted 23 May, 2012 Share Posted 23 May, 2012 So clever, because no player has ever come back from serious injury. And Anderton didn't make over 450 appearances in his career. QUOTE] yes, I'm afraid he did, (451 in League)...plus another 40 or so at various levels for England. for a player who was out injured so often, he certainly turned in a lot of performances (499), makes you wonder how many he might have played had he been fit all the time.
