sunrise Posted 20 May, 2012 Posted 20 May, 2012 RIP to a very talented artist I second that, RIP to one of the most talented and successful musical artists to ever come from these islands.
dingbattigger Posted 21 May, 2012 Posted 21 May, 2012 A sad loss indeed......reunited with his brothers
eurosaint Posted 21 May, 2012 Posted 21 May, 2012 Sadly with their undoubted talent and success, 3 of the brothers have died tragically young ! Barry must be feeling pretty low now that he is the last one left ! RIP Robin, your music lives on !
buctootim Posted 21 May, 2012 Posted 21 May, 2012 Sadly with their undoubted talent and success, 3 of the brothers have died tragically young ! Barry must be feeling pretty low now that he is the last one left ! RIP Robin, your music lives on ! Their mum is still alive too, even worse for her. I didnt really pay that much attention to them until his illness was publicised in the papers, and then watched a few youtube videos. They've done some great, great stuff, both in their own name and written for others - about all kinds of issues too - not just repetitive dull love songs.
Foxstone Posted 21 May, 2012 Posted 21 May, 2012 Saturday Night Fever is a classic film and the soundtrack penned by the Bee Gees is central to that.. A genius RIP
Viking Warrior Posted 21 May, 2012 Posted 21 May, 2012 RIP Robin. For me the Bee Gees singularly and individually were the more were tthe best musicians and songwriters of their time. Like Saints are a passion to me so were the Bee Gees. Sing a song for Markus for me Robin while your up there
Viking Warrior Posted 21 May, 2012 Posted 21 May, 2012 The y have such a diverse range of talent This is from 1965 http://youtu.be/TAOLl2KeTsA
ART Posted 21 May, 2012 Posted 21 May, 2012 Truly gutted to read that Robin has lost his courageous battle with cancer. As everyone says, he was an amazingly talented and educzted guy who gave everything to his music and to others. His music will iive on forever. R.I.P. Robin for you brought so much into the lives of several generations
The Cat Posted 21 May, 2012 Posted 21 May, 2012 I don't really like the Bee Gees, but have had Stayin' Alive stuck in my head today which is ironic.
