JackFrost Posted 20 May, 2012 Posted 20 May, 2012 just watched this on BBC3 GK: Peter Bonetti RB: Warren Barton LB: Phil Neville CB: John Terry CB: Keith Curle RM: Kieron Dyer LM: Steve Hodge CM: Joey Barton CM: Carlton Palmer ST: John Fashanu ST: Michael Ricketts Manager: Steve McClaren Thoughts?
egg Posted 20 May, 2012 Posted 20 May, 2012 Terry and Neville shouldn't be there. Ugo and Steve Howey were just a bit worse than both. Geoff Thomas and Steve Bull were awful and would be shoe ins surely.
Smirking_Saint Posted 20 May, 2012 Posted 20 May, 2012 John Terry ? Absolute arse yes but poor footballer ?
Badger Posted 20 May, 2012 Posted 20 May, 2012 Terry and Neville shouldn't be there. Ugo and Steve Howey were just a bit worse than both. Geoff Thomas and Steve Bull were awful and would be shoe ins surely. First name that sprung to my mind. With the exception of Peter Bonnetti most names are relatively recent. I can't believe England did not try some real dross out in the late 1960's/70's when we had the Home Internationals to field a team in.
skintsaint Posted 21 May, 2012 Posted 21 May, 2012 Tony Dorigo was a worse full back than Neville. How about Andy Sinton or even Anthony Gardner?
Deano6 Posted 21 May, 2012 Posted 21 May, 2012 just watched this on BBC3 GK: Peter Bonetti RB: Warren Barton LB: Phil Neville CB: John Terry CB: Keith Curle RM: Kieron Dyer LM: Steve Hodge CM: Joey Barton CM: Carlton Palmer ST: John Fashanu ST: Michael Ricketts Manager: Steve McClaren Thoughts? It's a bit racist is that: 5 blacks guys 2 c*nts 1 donkey 2 token old guys and Warren Barton
Thedelldays Posted 21 May, 2012 Posted 21 May, 2012 no ripley..? yet a champions league winner, FA cup winning and league winning John Terry...?
jjsaint Posted 21 May, 2012 Posted 21 May, 2012 I saw his some time ago and thought it was a bit silly. I'm not a big fan of JT but he's a good footballer. Joey Barton played what - once? for the national side. Hardly fair. Phil Neville is obnoxious but again not a bad player.
norwaysaint Posted 21 May, 2012 Posted 21 May, 2012 Top 50 here. Beatts gets a mention. I'd forgotten David Bardsley, at the time I was house sharing with a QPR fan who told me that they used to sing "Bardsley for England!" ironically at Loftus Road. He couldn't believe it when he was actually brought on. Graham Taylor could fill this team without even trying. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1211522/The-List-Sportsmails-worst-England-international-footballers.html
