jawillwill Posted 20 May, 2012 Share Posted 20 May, 2012 If you go onto Google and type 'How much is a season ticket for', the suggested result which it provides, lists Southampton as it's 4th option (behind only Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea). Are Google search suggestion results given with regard to how many people have made that search before? If so, does that mean we are the 4th most in-demand club in the country (world?)?! Crab Lungs Posted 20 May, 2012 Share Posted 20 May, 2012 Defo a catchment area thing. Our catchment area must be over 8,000 miles/sq now.
PhilippineSaint Posted 20 May, 2012 Share Posted 20 May, 2012 Defo a catchment area thing. Our catchment area must be over 8,000 miles/sq now. That is only 5 times the size of Hampshire we will get relegated with only that amount of people being able to attend, please tell Trants to hold off building the new super duper mega stadium on Fareham. Turkish Posted 20 May, 2012 Share Posted 20 May, 2012 Our catchment area grows by the hour. Chelsea winning the champions league is the best thing that could happen to us. People will think English football is on the up again and there will millions of people in Africa and America watching last night who will now want a premier league team to support but will not want to go for the obvious. With us being a club on the up and close Londonthey are bound to chose us as we are easy to get to when they come here on holiday. Also don't forget the whole of Euorpe is within 4 hours of Southampton plane and with us being the nearest premier league club to Gatwick I'm sure there will be loads of fans from abroad planning to take advantage of this next season. ericb Posted 20 May, 2012 Share Posted 20 May, 2012 Yup absolutely nothing to do with the fact that google tailor your search history to your most searched terms and therefore are more likely to show things that are related to southampton since you've probably been searching for them. Nope i'd say that's completely conclusive proof that we are now bigger than Bayern Munich since they've not won anything this season too, in fact i think it probably means we should add another 10,000 to that 50,000 stadium we need. You're thinking small time. Google is massive, no reason why it shouldn't be bigger than Old Trafford.
