If Blackpool finished like they did against us - Blackpool would be up. Vaz Te getting interviewed again, saying how much they deserve it because they're 'a premier league side'.

**** off West Ham, Sam Allardyce, Gold, Sullivan, Brady, and Londoners.

Wonder what Venkys think about Fat Sam replacing their side in the top flight.

My only thought is "are you watching Rupert Lowe". Keep most of your best players, get a premiership Manager and you have a chance of going up within the parachute period. And dont give me the old pony about what would have happened to them had they not gone up with that expense. Number 1; they did go back up and number 2; We got ****ed anyway, despite taking the "sensible" approach.

To be honest I'd rather Blackpool and that attention-seeking twit Holloway weren't in the Prem - always crying out for sympathy about how his plucky Blackpool side have been harshly treated by referees, the Premier League, the inflated transfer market, the fixture list and the Obama administration and giving his opinion on everything when its neither wanted or needed.

Carlton Cole "we got more than we deserved"

There's one player who is seriously under achieving. I really think he's got the ability to be a monster in the Premiership, but someone needs to get hold of him. I would have quite liked them to have failed today and maybe Nigel could have got him on the bus. I reckon Nigel could bring the best out of him.

They are though. If we are so are they. A big club, good fan base a lot of history and tradition and a good team. Like it or not, they are a premier league club.

Signing one of Ince and Phillips. Please.

Exactly my thoughts. Preferably Phillips though. At the end of the day west ham deserved it as they were actually the third best team in the league. The play offs are exciting ( so long as you are not in it!) but when third place is so far ahead of the rest it's hard to justify not going up. Plus west ham had to lift themselves after missing out on auto promotion on the very last day. That takes some doing so credit where it is due.

Blackpool were the better side - but if you don't take your chances you don't win. I thought Matt Phillips was very average. I watched the match on Al Jazeera and the studio host was the guy who got sacked from sky (Richard K?). What a plank he is!

I initially wanted Blackpool (despite Holloway), but the combination of their muppet fans wearing orange road cones, and bodger getting excited about his burger van doubling it's takings, swung me towards WHU. In any case they finished 3rd - 11 points clear so they deserved it more.

Congratulations to West Ham for winning promotion. No bitterness here. Very much deserved after a strong season where they comfortably outperformed all the other three teams in the playoffs. Looking forward to the meetings next season!

As much as I wanted BFS to fail - end of the day fair do's over the course of the season they deserved it.

Also a bit of a shame seeing so many empty seats in the Blackpool section.

I bet we play WHU away whilst I'm back in Sept (instead of an easy 1 1/2 hr journey for me from Leigh).

This could be the new Jester Wig or Foam Finger - (but in Red and White)...... I've just ordered 35000 ready for out 1st home PL game.

Think NC should have the ST card chip inserted into one of those fake cones and everyone has to wear on to get in...

Oh dear, Oh my, what a long, winding and ultimately unintelligable post.

Could somebody please precis this so I can have some hope of getting to the end of it before I die. :p

This. West Hams fans were much louder and better and when shots of the crowd it was mainly lads, no helmets in fancy dress. For that reason alone they deserved their victory and one in the eye for fancy dress bulbs.

Lad fans 1 fancy dress freaks 0

TBH, the playoffs are a discrace when the top 3 finish miles clear and the 5th or 6th place team win it. That said I really dont like Allardyce, it's just that anything else is blatantly unfair.

Agree with all your points.

Justice has been done, I'm afraid. Pity about the arrogance that comes with it from Wham and its fans.

Really wish the traffic cones and fat fan burger man had won it - but they didn't. So congratulations to West Ham, hopefully back to a good footballing team next season - our games should be good ones.

With the likes of Bolton, Blackburn and Wolves down and us and West Ham up, I think the Premier League is looking stronger than it has for a long time.

If we just get rid of Wigan, Reading and QPR and replace them with Leeds, Derby and Sheffield Wednesday it feel like all the biggish teams are in the top flight.

Don't really mind they are up. Much rather west ham, a proper Premier League club than another noddy northern club that will come straight back down. There was only ever 3 teams going for the title and they have all gone up so justice has been served. Their attitude was a bit crap but ultimately they easily deserved to go up.

Congratulations to the Hammers. In fairness, WHU were the most deserving of all the teams in the playoffs with how far ahead of the others they were. Unlike many, I actually like Big Sam. Good manager, gets results and says what he thinks. I respect the bloke.

fully deserved. No matter how much we derided them for their long ball **** (we played a bit ourselves I night add), they were under the greatest pressure of any team in the division and they achieved what they needed to. They finished well clear of 4th, so fair play to Sam and his side. Good luck to them next season. Decent set of passionate fans that won't do the Prem any harm. See you at SMS ext season.

You have to admit the fine for them for the team they put out v Villa was a crime, had that been Manure, Citeh, Pool, Chelski no bugger would have given a chuff!

I suppose you've got to hand it to West Ham they did a professional job seeing off the other play off hopefuls with ease. I'm so glad we didn't have to go through the play offs though. I wouldn't swap whatever they were feeling at full time today at Wembley for knowing we were up at St Mary's over 2 weeks ago. If we had been involved in the play offs I'm not sure we would have got this far. Both Cardiff and Blackpool had the better results over us this season and would of had the edge over us. As much as I would have preferred Blackpool to win, I guess justice has been done from the league final standings point of view. Just hope we can take 6 points off West Ham next season.

Watching on Al Jazeera, I was annoyed by the comments from the panel: 1) West Ham were the best team in the Championship this year, 2) Upton Park is a fortress, 3) West Ham fans are the best, 3) The play-offs is the best way to go up, 4) West Ham will do better than the other promoted sides in the EPL next season. Mind you, the panel was Curbishley & Phil "Perma Tan" Brown. Trevor Francis was also on, but he was much more even in his comments.

Lets be honest, all the media have wanted to talk about this season with regards to the Championship was West Ham. The whole build up today from every media source was all about West Ham, really playing on the idea that Blackpool didn't have a hope and it would be a shock if they pipped it, which was a load of bollicks.

Fair play to em though. Good away day for next season.

If I was in charge of West Ham I would be looking at a younger ,fitter manager for next season,as Sam talked of his medication when interviewed after the game ,I would be afraid for his health to have to stay up again. Glad for the Club though as the are proper.
