Saint Garrett Posted 19 May, 2012 Posted 19 May, 2012 GK Davis ? ? DF Fox Hooiveld Fonte Martin Richardson ? ? ? MF Lallana Schneiderlin Cork Hammond Chaplow SDR ? ? ? ST Lambert Lee Sharp Guly ? u21 Chambers Shaw Ward-Prowse Stephens Could argue Butterfield and Harding but I don't think they're good enough. I would look to get rid of Barnard, Puncheon, Dickson, Forte, Seaborne....not sure about Reeves ? Loan ?
VectisSaint Posted 19 May, 2012 Posted 19 May, 2012 not sure about Reeves ? Loan ? Not releavnt to this thread as is is aged 20.
Saint Garrett Posted 19 May, 2012 Author Posted 19 May, 2012 Don't know why but I thought he was 22....ok no problem then, he doesnt need a spot in the 25.
Saint_clark Posted 19 May, 2012 Posted 19 May, 2012 Our third keeper will surely be under 21 and therefore not included. I'll be surprised if Butterfield and Harding aren't kept on to be honest - you won't find better, cheaper, willing-to-sit-on-the-sidelines players IMO. I also think Seaborne will be kept on but one of him and Martin loaned out to the NPC.
Saint Garrett Posted 20 May, 2012 Author Posted 20 May, 2012 Certainly need strengthening. Not convinced Hooper is the striker we need though, think I'd rather have J-Rod.
Thedelldays Posted 20 May, 2012 Posted 20 May, 2012 Certainly need strengthening. Not convinced Hooper is the striker we need though, think I'd rather have J-Rod. why....not trying to be picky but how much have you seen of both..? just find trends start to form on here and that is that.. I have no idea if one would be better than the other.....but I do think...EITHER will do well
Saint Charlie Posted 20 May, 2012 Posted 20 May, 2012 Martin desparately needs a season loan at somewhere like Watford. He shouldn't get anywhere near the team next season and needs regular pro football to see exactly how much potential he has.
Saint Garrett Posted 20 May, 2012 Author Posted 20 May, 2012 I've seen more of J-Rod and he looks class from what I've seen. Plus he's younger than Hooper.
Saintjersey Posted 20 May, 2012 Posted 20 May, 2012 (edited) I've seen more of J-Rod and he looks class from what I've seen. Plus he's younger than Hooper. Rodriguez is 18 months younger than Hooper, which is hardly a big difference. If you haven't seen Hooper play how can you make a judgement? Edited 20 May, 2012 by Saintjersey

You need some players that can do a job, but won't get disruptive or leave just because they're not first choice. You don't want too many squad players, but Harding is an excellent one who doesn't complain, but is good for back-up when needed.

Doctoroncall Posted 20 May, 2012 Posted 20 May, 2012 How do you know he doesn't complain? Just asking. Yes, difficult to tell but would he have signed a new contract recently when you consider how much he was used last season?
Saint Garrett Posted 20 May, 2012 Author Posted 20 May, 2012 Thing is if we need him at any point of the season, he will get terrorised. You can see from this season that Harding is lower NPC level/High L1 standard
Dig Dig Posted 20 May, 2012 Posted 20 May, 2012 The main argument for Rodriguez over Hooper is style and stature. If Ricky got injured for any length of time, we would still not have a replacement target man, someone who can win an aerial battle and hold the ball up well. I'd rather Rodriguez on that basis alone.
