Blackpool vs Wham - hobson's choice!

TBH Wham deserve to go up as they finished so far ahead of Blackpool. I hate the play-offs and it personifies all that is wrong with football. You have 46 games, and then have to squeeze some more in just to wring the last few pennies out of it all. Much better to have it as it always was. Top 3 up, pure and simple.

Totally agree. Not only do they have these ****ty playoffs but scrapped the away goals rule so that they could have more shock results so that unfancied teams could get to the prem and keep the commentators at their onanistic best...

To be honest I think for us West Ham going up is a good thing as they play old school long ball football. In the top flight you can't play that way anymore. They will go straight back down if they play like that.

I agree...however, stoke will show you that you can

west ham are set up not to lose games......they will have far greater chance of staying up next season than blackpool had they did it

Fair play to Alladyce for signing Vaz Te, 12 goals since January and the goal that sends them up.

Nige, go and sign Ince or Phillips, preferably Ince and maybe the keeper as well.

Ince looked good.

I like the look of the centre half as well, not the big dummy, but the other one. Good back up for our 2.

I don't think stoke play long ball, they play along the flanks and cross them in for Crouch. West Ham get it to Nolan or Noble who then punt it up field hoping Cole get on the end of it. The defenders in the PL love that style of play as it is easy to play against unless you have a guy like Drogba doing it. Look at the top teams and their strikers, Van Persie, Rooney, Ageuro, Suraez etc all players who play with the ball on the floor. Which is how the league is now. Teams try and play with a free flowing style which uses pace to get it from defence through midfield. Blackpool play like that. They were unlucky to go down last year.

West Ham will struggle to score goals playing the way they do as they have no pace, they will get knackered running around trying to get the ball off teams.

blackpool played far more hoof ball than west ham....

Everytime I've seen West Ham they've knocked it about well at time and also gone direct at times. They are no more long ball than we are yet on here people crack one out over the football we are supposed to play all the time. When in reality we dothe same as them.

Man you really do talk some **** sometimes....

Blackpool had more possesion, had more shots, had by far the better chances and they were all created without them punting it up the field. Both West Ham goals came from long balls over the defence...

I know you love to argue, you see it as some sort of challenge but you have to be a serious mong if you think West Ham were playing the better "football" there....

Both goals came from long balls so i'd say a fair bit no?

West Ham did not play free flowing slick football with quick passes to each other, go look at the passing and possesion stats.

That was very much a case of a lesson in ruthlessness.

Blackpool played the better stuff, got into the better positions and had the clearer openings - but they only mustered one goal.

No arguments really. WHU will be strong next year that's for sure, don't expect them to be involved in bottom 4/5 battle.

for about 3/4 of the game...blackpool hoof'd the ball from their defence to ince/phillips....they eventually scored from it..

they also did this against us and tore us a new one

pool did have a spell of some good stuff...about 10 mins.

west hams goal came from a run down the wing, a low cross (2nd goal that is)

That was a pretty exciting game! Watching West Ham is like watching England, they is all organisations and no funs, all hoping on a couple of quality players to pull them out the sh!t. Felt bad for Blackpool, but i wouldn't mind us buying their wingers! I thought Ferguson was class too, but i spose he ain't got the legs for prem no more.
