buctootim Posted 19 May, 2012 Posted 19 May, 2012 Ince looks mustard. Would like to think we'd be in for him in the summer. Less chance if Blackpool go up.
liquidsnake Posted 19 May, 2012 Posted 19 May, 2012 Just mentioned on 5 Live that Adkins is at Wembley today having a browse...
Dig Dig Posted 19 May, 2012 Posted 19 May, 2012 Just mentioned on 5 Live that Adkins is at Wembley today having a browse... He was at Brum as well in the semi-final. Ince or Phillips?
Gingeletiss Posted 19 May, 2012 Posted 19 May, 2012 Christ! That was close. Great save, looking at the replays!
saint-crinny Posted 19 May, 2012 Posted 19 May, 2012 Great technqique from Nolan - he really is a horrible t*sser though
Saint_Donovan Posted 19 May, 2012 Posted 19 May, 2012 West ham have been battered this second half, so I fully expect them to score a 90th min winner!
Turkish Posted 19 May, 2012 Posted 19 May, 2012 Great technqique from Nolan - he really is a horrible t*sser though Why is he?
Lighthouse Posted 19 May, 2012 Posted 19 May, 2012 Blackpool definitely deserve to win this, so I'd bet my house on Wham.
Lighthouse Posted 19 May, 2012 Posted 19 May, 2012 Blackpool definitely deserve to win this, so I'd bet my house on Wham. And there it is.
dune Posted 19 May, 2012 Posted 19 May, 2012 Bodgers Burger Stand won't be having bumper sales next year then.
saint-crinny Posted 19 May, 2012 Posted 19 May, 2012 Why is he? Totally irrational really - I just hate him. His stupid celebration drives me mental.
Turkish Posted 19 May, 2012 Posted 19 May, 2012 Totally irrational really - I just hate him. His stupid celebration drives me mental. I've always thought he seemed like a decent guy.
OttawaSaint Posted 19 May, 2012 Posted 19 May, 2012 Better Wham going up anyway, they will act all billy big balls and get turned over more than not...
angelman Posted 19 May, 2012 Posted 19 May, 2012 TBH Wham deserve to go up as they finished so far ahead of Blackpool. I hate the play-offs and it personifies all that is wrong with football. You have 46 games, and then have to squeeze some more in just to wring the last few pennies out of it all. Much better to have it as it always was. Top 3 up, pure and simple.
Thedelldays Posted 19 May, 2012 Posted 19 May, 2012 Better Wham going up anyway, they will act all billy big balls and get turned over more than not... bet they don't.
dune Posted 19 May, 2012 Posted 19 May, 2012 hoooray, i'll go and pick my 20 quid winnings up now. toodlepip.
scotty Posted 19 May, 2012 Posted 19 May, 2012 That was their last chance. Thats your tenner safe then;)

Not only do they have these ****ty playoffs but scrapped the away goals rule so that they could have more shock results so that unfancied teams could get to the prem and keep the commentators at their onanistic best...
MOSaint Posted 19 May, 2012 Posted 19 May, 2012 Blackpool got what they deserved there, wasted several chances.
Turkish Posted 19 May, 2012 Posted 19 May, 2012 Fair play to Alladyce for signing Vaz Te, 12 goals since January and the goal that sends them up. Nige, go and sign Ince or Phillips, preferably Ince and maybe the keeper as well.
St Marco Posted 19 May, 2012 Posted 19 May, 2012 To be honest I think for us West Ham going up is a good thing as they play old school long ball football. In the top flight you can't play that way anymore. They will go straight back down if they play like that.
badgerx16 Posted 19 May, 2012 Posted 19 May, 2012 Bodgers Burger Stand won't be having bumper sales next year then. Have your 'care in the community' home visits been cut yet ?

I agree...however, stoke will show you that you can west ham are set up not to lose games......they will have far greater chance of staying up next season than blackpool had they did it
saint-crinny Posted 19 May, 2012 Posted 19 May, 2012 Shame for Blackpool as they played some great stuff today. Echo the sentiment about Ince, he would be the perfect answer to our need for a right winger. Superb

Lord Duckhunter Posted 19 May, 2012 Posted 19 May, 2012 Fair play to Alladyce for signing Vaz Te, 12 goals since January and the goal that sends them up. Nige, go and sign Ince or Phillips, preferably Ince and maybe the keeper as well. Ince looked good. I like the look of the centre half as well, not the big dummy, but the other one. Good back up for our 2.
Thedelldays Posted 19 May, 2012 Posted 19 May, 2012 This is utter ****** and a myth. How much long ball did they play today? blackpool played far more hoof ball than west ham....
ant Posted 19 May, 2012 Posted 19 May, 2012 Does this mean the West Ham fans can have their tinpot little boat trip now?
Turkish Posted 19 May, 2012 Posted 19 May, 2012 That Baptiste is a classy looking centre half. *hopes he hasn't give him the kiss of death * Ince looked good. I like the look of the centre half as well, not the big dummy, but the other one. Good back up for our 2. Baptiste you mean.
Sour Mash Posted 19 May, 2012 Posted 19 May, 2012 How naff are those homemade t-shirts? And world cup winning flag?

West Ham get it to Nolan or Noble who then punt it up field hoping Cole get on the end of it. The defenders in the PL love that style of play as it is easy to play against unless you have a guy like Drogba doing it. Look at the top teams and their strikers, Van Persie, Rooney, Ageuro, Suraez etc all players who play with the ball on the floor. Which is how the league is now. Teams try and play with a free flowing style which uses pace to get it from defence through midfield. Blackpool play like that. They were unlucky to go down last year. West Ham will struggle to score goals playing the way they do as they have no pace, they will get knackered running around trying to get the ball off teams.
Turkish Posted 19 May, 2012 Posted 19 May, 2012 blackpool played far more hoof ball than west ham.... Everytime I've seen West Ham they've knocked it about well at time and also gone direct at times. They are no more long ball than we are yet on here people crack one out over the football we are supposed to play all the time. When in reality we dothe same as them.
scotty Posted 19 May, 2012 Posted 19 May, 2012 Baptiste is a very good player. Ince looked great too, but I thought Phillips looked very average today.
Thedelldays Posted 19 May, 2012 Posted 19 May, 2012 I don't think stoke play long ball, t christ will have to agree to very much disagree
Turkish Posted 19 May, 2012 Posted 19 May, 2012 How naff are those homemade t-shirts? And world cup winning flag? Not as bad as that f*cking bubble machine.
St Marco Posted 19 May, 2012 Posted 19 May, 2012 This is utter ****** and a myth. How much long ball did they play today? Man you really do talk some **** sometimes.... Blackpool had more possesion, had more shots, had by far the better chances and they were all created without them punting it up the field. Both West Ham goals came from long balls over the defence... I know you love to argue, you see it as some sort of challenge but you have to be a serious mong if you think West Ham were playing the better "football" there....

How much long ball did West Ham play today? That was your point was it not? And I think you need to watch the goals again sunshine.
St Marco Posted 19 May, 2012 Posted 19 May, 2012 How much long ball did West Ham play today? That was your point was it not? Both goals came from long balls so i'd say a fair bit no? West Ham did not play free flowing slick football with quick passes to each other, go look at the passing and possesion stats.
S-Clarke Posted 19 May, 2012 Posted 19 May, 2012 That was very much a case of a lesson in ruthlessness. Blackpool played the better stuff, got into the better positions and had the clearer openings - but they only mustered one goal. No arguments really. WHU will be strong next year that's for sure, don't expect them to be involved in bottom 4/5 battle.
Thedelldays Posted 19 May, 2012 Posted 19 May, 2012 Both goals came from long balls so i'd say a fair bit no? West Ham did not play free flowing slick football with quick passes to each other, go look at the passing and possesion stats. for about 3/4 of the game...blackpool hoof'd the ball from their defence to ince/phillips....they eventually scored from it.. they also did this against us and tore us a new one pool did have a spell of some good stuff...about 10 mins. west hams goal came from a run down the wing, a low cross (2nd goal that is)
Bearsy Posted 19 May, 2012 Posted 19 May, 2012 That was a pretty exciting game! Watching West Ham is like watching England, they is all organisations and no funs, all hoping on a couple of quality players to pull them out the sh!t. Felt bad for Blackpool, but i wouldn't mind us buying their wingers! I thought Ferguson was class too, but i spose he ain't got the legs for prem no more.
