Michael Owen is now avaliable....

To be honest to me it seems as if he's lost all hunger for football, alot of his time is devoted in horses.

He's a good football person, but not much of a player anymore it's sad to say. He will possibly retire.

Such a shame he was ravaged by injuries throughout the most of his career. Would've no doubt gone on to be one of England's all time greats otherwise.

Would agree with that, he was right up there in 2000 with the best strikers in the world.

Let's hope Jack Wiltshire's career isn't similar....as he's now suffered a serious knee injury, on top of his constant ankle injuries.

I see the Owen to saints bandwagon has started rolling

John Roberts‏@gingeybabes

Owen to Saints would be perfect. Lambert's touch and ability combined with Owen's movement and finishing would be deadly. #bbcsportsday

Lets lobby the club and make this a reality ....after all with Lee Holmes and (most likely) David Connolly leaving the Medical room needs a new occupant....

I for one would love him to come here tbh But am not sure if I can see it happening as I think that him n Lambert would start a Great partnership But we'l see!!!

If he does come then we'd have to get rid of Guly or someone But we'l see!!!

COYR!!!

32? Tbh, I thought he was older. I say he'd be worth a gamble for the right wage. Our strikers could learn a lot from him. His finishing and movement are world class and he's got vast experience at the highest level.

Reading the article on the BBC it looks to me as he is setting his sights on lower league teams as he knows the top teams won't touch him. Would he be worth a pay as you play type deal?...I think thats all he'll get to be honest. I think we could get him if we wanted to, can't see him demanding that massive a salary anymore. Someone like Villa or Wigan will get him. I wouldn't want him here personally. Lee, Lambert, Sharp, Guly and a proven top league striker would do me (not Owen).
